ipod touch 4th 4.1 working fine here, game is fun but I find it difficult to dodge the bullets, basically it's to much to control and you need precision so this game is really not the best for this sort of device, they should make a port for xbox live, this game would play nicely with 2 analog sticks imo.

I bought rage HD today for 1.99

What does this have to do with Bug Panic you say?

Well for half the price I get a game that's like 10x better.

I don't feel bad about buying Bug Panic because I want to support companies I like as much as I can, but it's a shallow boring game so far. I'll keep playing it and if it get's better, I'll eat my words.

I agree. I like the game though. I was surprised how focused i was while playing it on the subway. Almost missed my stop! Then again that happens with DFK also...

I would say it's worth checking out if you go in with little expectations. This could be way better on Xbox Live Arcade.

I enjoy it. Much more than I thought I would.

And add a +1 to the XBLA idea.

Game's a bit weak, but the art's very nice in this, thought I'd share some screen grabs with ya.

Oh man, who hired the Touhou fan artists? The characters look really moe. That might be a good thing for most of the audience, but I liked the more realistic look of the original Mushi (Not to say that Reco's breasts could ever be attached to a real human).

I know what you're saying, but lets be realistic, the touhou guy actually can't draw. At least this is nicely finished and suits the SD sprites in the game. :o

I actually think this is a really nice touch. The whole hand-drawn, soft coloured style makes it look like it belongs in a children's story book.

Game is very fun. Adventure mode is a bit boring, as I suspected it would be, but the score trials are awesome.

Well i think it's important for children's story books to have something for the parents reading them. Daddy likes his sexy-back.

Her breasts aren't really that huge in these story scenes. They're actually nigh normal here. No where NEAR as huge as Haccan makes them (which ain't a problem ^_-). But anyway....ahem...I quite like this game so far. Been trying to get all the secret routes in the first levels at the moment. I'll try some of the other control schemes later!

iPad OS 4.2 is now out, so I'm guessing it'll work. I'll know later tonight and report.

The art looks pretty meh to me, but then again I just got the newest Hi Fructose Compendium

I did a search to see if anyone on here liked this game. Surprised that there isn't much support. To me, this game is perfect for iphone and quite deep. It sucked me in just like Futari. I'm currently #14 on the leaderboards (LFKASS). Anyone else scoring?

Update announced at the CAVE press conference. It seems there will be a multiplayer mode added which will support Bluetooth, 3G and Wi-Fi. Also the "lite" version will get a upgrade.

Thought I'd check on here to see what the general feelings are about the game. The reviews online are generally very positive but I'm not sensing much love on these baords. Still pondering whether to give it a go.

I've been playing this a lot.. trying to get all of the achievements.

Right now I'm only missing a few, the 999-Hit Combo one, obviously something exclusive to Endless Mode, but one you hit 200 Hits or so, the game becomes psychotic! But I made it past 500 so I guess this is probably possible. I have the 500,000 Gems one to go (70%), this jumps up pretty fast after a good Time Attack/Endless game, so no worries. There's the Clear Adventure Mode on Hard, probably not an issue, I just haven't started it yet.

So that leaves two left.

Beat Every Level w/o Getting Hit. 96%. Every level but the last boss one. It seems impossible simply based on the looseness of the controls (not the difficulty of the bullet patterns). I've gotten past the first two forms without getting hit just fine, it's the last one that becomes the problem! Maybe I'll try again later.

Then there's "Koju Killer" a secret achievement. No clue what it is, but assuming it's something like "Destroy 100,000 Koju" or something, I guess it'll unlock eventually.

I like the game a lot, even if sometimes I get annoyed at the touch controls (but only rarely, they got it to work well).

Looking at the game today for the first time I see the news mentions a Bug Battle game coming out in the spring. Anyone seen screens for that?

oh yeah and especially since i dont have a small IOS device this isn't playable for me. When you scale it up on the iPad like most games that use virtual controls its just not comfortable. I have big hands too, so its not that. Thank goodness for the light version, i might try it now and again simply 'cause I like the in-game reco style. Reminds me of the PS2 load screen graphics:)

Koju Killer requires you to kill 30 enemies with a single explosion seed.
Btw is it a bad thing if I unlocked Princess Debut all by myself...?

And how the hell do I get 100% discovery rate in 5-3? I've already found the Kabutan and explored every inch of the level

You are getting into this game now!

Why would it be a bad thing to unlock Princess Debut? What happened when you unlocked it? It's one of the few achievements I have still outstanding.

There is no way to help you with 5-3 specifically if you already found the kabutan. In general, I think you have to explore everything in the level in one go, meaning you must trigger and explore every gate, trigger and kill every enemy, clear out the room that contained the kabutan and then complete the level.

Starting to chain and score yet?

Thanks for the tip on Koju Killer!

Is it Cluster Seed or Explosion Seed? Cause I just did some runs trying to unlock and had zero luck. Perhaps I'm not getting 30 in one go, but I'm pretty sure it's there. I've also turned off Lock On and went to Direct to make sure I'm only shooting out one. Bah!

As for 5-3 100%, there are A LOT of secret spots in that level and not a lot of time, I had to run through it a few times before I got it (and I was always reaching the goal at the nick of time). I wish I had more specific instructions, but just repeat the level a few times to make sure you familiarize yourself with all the secret spots and go for a full run.

As for Princess Debut, I would have unlocked it myself eventually if I knew that you could do "that," but I never came across it and just read about that achievement on another site.
