Wal-Mart hosted it. There were also a few live bands that played. I'm personal friends with one of em. "Livon" (Live On)
I EVEN ENTERED MY CAR!!!!
I filled out the forms, and even after at least an hour or more of thinking about it, I requested a "voting sheet". I actually got the last one!
It was obvious that my Chevelle was in a "fender bender", but I still wanted to keep my chin up, so to speek. Overall, I had a good time, and I had the usual compliments regarding my classic car.
One of my best friends won "Best HotRod", I also helped with his project, so I feel good about that.
I was told that if it weren't for the "fender bender", I could have been tied with "Best Classic"...my competition was a 56 Bel-Air. It was sweet though!
I even saw the guy who "rear-ended" me there walking around. (head down)
He walked up to my car, and I was ready for anything.
We're trying to work things out, and I may get his truck out of the deal.
It has at least has a 400HP small block Chevy, plus really nice rims and tires that should fit the Chevelle. If the trade goes well, we'll consider it done and final, as I'm in the process of negotiating a 3 way deal with body and paint work.
I have a good friend "brother" who does murals for around 3 to 5 grand!
He''ll hook up my body and paint man with a full hood mural on his lowrider for full body work and paint for "Chevella".
She may end up all black, with ghost flames replacing the stripes.
I hope everything works out, wish me luck fella's!
Went to a car show this evening...
