Shmuppreciation Month

^^^ Nice. I have Donpachi and Dodopachi on my V-Saturn. It's nice playing them on a bigger screen than my lap top (Mame) does.

I've been wanting to set a goal... and then accomplish it. So I guess shmup month is a good reason to.

I want to 1cc ESPgaluda. Obviously the boss is my only problem so I'll do some save state practice.

Unfortunately the site that used to be run by the the DGR folks seems to be... not there.

The ISM site? That was M.C.Wilson acting alone. He used to do a podcast called Broadcast Gamer.

He's friends with DGR but he and that site were never a part of DGR.

aaaaand DGRadio is no longer a videogames podcast. So I dunno what they're doin'.

Herm. I didn't know that about the ISM site. I figured the DGR guys ran it because they always promoted it so much.

And DGR still talks about video games.. sorta. I just haven't heard them say anything about shmups. They usually do about the time MWGC rolls around. Maybe they still will? No clue.

I plan on beating W-Ring for the PC Engine 1st loop. Expect for the upload soon.

EDIT: I also plan on uploading Star Soldier Boss Rush 1-life clear.

Is it? I bought it for the amazing graphics, but it was always too slow for me to get into.

If it's one of the console ports you're talking about, then it probably slow yes.

I'm so close to the 1CC right now that I'm blitzing through the first 3 stages like it's Metal Slug.

Yeah the Saturn port is slow, but in Mame it plays great.

Self-imposed shmup limitter activated as of the end of last night's shmupmeet. My shmups until April 6 will be limited to:
- Ketsui (vanilla and X Mode)
- DFKBL (vanilla and Ketsuipachi)
- Crimzon Clover
