Austin Texas - Ibara at ArcadeUFO

I took my Ibara board up to UFO and it will replace DDP 1.5 for awhile in a Sega New Net City. If anyone wants to stop in and play or try and take my poor high score down, please do! They also have Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition and Marvel vs Capcom 3 up and running. They have switched to a new token system that actually hooks you up the more you buy. I got $10 worth the other day and had a great time.

I didn't make it to UFO. I dropped by Pinballz and ended up staying too late and having to head back home. Played too much Virtual On.

I went up tonight and noticed they reset the leader board.
2.9 mil was my high. Not great but still. So I played for a bit. Filled up most of the board but 1.6 mil was the highest I could get. Bleh.

I'm gonna go this Friday and practice getting my medal chain higher on stage 1. All my high scores involve me failing on stage 1 with 1.3 mil being my highest at the boss

This game without a doubt has one of the steepest hurdles to climb over in the beginning of any shmup I've ever played before.

EDIT: Went back, barely got 1st with 1.62 Mil. This game is way too hard to practice without losing your entire wallet before learning how to play the levels perfectly.

Oh wow, your DAD? I noticed someone bumped me. Yeah I could never learn to play Ibara while paying. Would cost way too much. Ryan took it out so Ibara is back at my house now. If you ever want to play you can come by sometime.

They took it out and put DDP DFK back in. So Ibara is back at my house. I need to reTate my Astro and it will be playable once again.

Yeah, I went this weekend (last night), Austin is 5.5hrs from me, I had a ton of fun with DDP DFK, I was lookin forward to Ibara, but no big deal... At least there was 1 SHMUP amongst all the fighters

No, Im pretty sure UFO still has a copy. They basically have to New Net Citys side by side for shmups. 1 take and 1 hori. Last time there I think it was DFK and Trouble Witches. As far as I know he has not sold his Deathsmiles copy.

years ago (now I'm in Dallas). I hardly knew a soul when I was there.

No they've gotten rid of DDP and ESPII, they've probably got DS sitting around somewhere else. DDP DFK is the one shmup there for sure, I don't know what is next to it right now though since I can't be there to check.

Finally made it down to Austin this weekend and made a point to pop in UFO. Got 2nd place on the board for DDP DFK. I'll have to upload a pic of my terrible score.
