Shmup with largest score counter

Just wondered. I just had an epiphany that more people would play for score if it was in their face more.

I know I go crazy for the big green numbers blurring off the the stars on ddp dfk bosses, and they probably don't even matter.

If you were made aware of your score all the time, I bet it would really motivate. (I just saw a Vid of gunroar)

Arrange B in DFK has a pretty darn big one.

The Score Attack mode for Giga Wing 2 has room for up to 21 digits.

The hugest ones are Alternative Sphere, Giga Wing 2 and Generations, and the least ones being Giga Wing, Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu Arrange A, and Mars Matrix.

Giga Wing also fills like half the screen with the YOUR SCORE part between levels when the guitar chord plays. It certainly made me want to increase my points, so yea, bigger score does matter.
