£67 postage for a DVD and £33 for a book (according to that shipping cost calculator)!!! Well at least there was nothing I wanted to buy.

guys - the shipping price it estimates INCLUDES the product. it was $25ish on two books EMS for me.

Be nice if they had alternative shipping options.

Oh my mistake then. I assumed the "shipping cost calculator" showed only the shipping price on its own.renardqueenston wrote:guys - the shipping price it estimates INCLUDES the product. it was $25ish on two books EMS for me.

I've always wondered: why are the DVDs so expensive? Is that just typical for Japan? I know CDs are always more expensive in general, is it the same for DVDs?

personally never really had cheaper EMS rates from japan to canada. a single CPS2 B board costs me $40ish EMS from fujita.Elixir wrote:They charged $25 USD for EMS?renardqueenston wrote:guys - the shipping price it estimates INCLUDES the product. it was $25ish on two books EMS for me.

Care to elaborate on this fact that you stated? It confuses my simple mind

After I said this, I was reminded that the standalone Espgaluda II soundtrack is two CDs (the second CD was all arrangements), whereas only one CD was included with Espgaluda II Black Label.StarCreator wrote:Ketsui LE came with an arrange soundtrack (for DOJ and Ketsui), not the original soundtrack. Espgaluda II stands alone in bundling the original soundtrack with the game - but it wasn't a 1:1 copy of the actual soundtrack CD. The Voice collection and other stuff was removed in favor of putting in two arrange tracks.

The weight between a book and a CPS2 board is vastly different though.renardqueenston wrote:personally never really had cheaper EMS rates from japan to canada. a single CPS2 B board costs me $40ish EMS from fujita.Elixir wrote:They charged $25 USD for EMS?renardqueenston wrote:guys - the shipping price it estimates INCLUDES the product. it was $25ish on two books EMS for me.

The problem is EMS minimum rate is quite high to start with afaik.

Ok, I was confused about the "original" part. Now that makes more sense. Also explains why they go for so much money.StarCreator wrote:dunpeal2064 wrote:Care to elaborate on this fact that you stated? Re: International Cave Shop Open!
i'd say it's about twice the weight of the two books, which were 700-something grams. a CPS board is about 4 pounds, right? if so, around double the price for around double the weightSkykid wrote:The weight between a book and a CPS2 board is vastly different though.

and yeah, EMS does have a high rate to start

Since I have to spell it out: limited editions do not come with original soundtracks. Only Mushi 1 and Ibara did.
EMS on something dvd/cd sized should be 1300-1500 yen at maximum.renardqueenston wrote:personally never really had cheaper EMS rates from japan to canada. a single CPS2 B board costs me $40ish EMS from fujita.Elixir wrote:They charged $25 USD for EMS?renardqueenston wrote:guys - the shipping price it estimates INCLUDES the product. it was $25ish on two books EMS for me.

Re: International Cave Shop Open!
aren't the books around A4 size though? two of those are still about half the size and weight of a CPS2 B-board :V i did mention that i got two books, not a CD or DVD.Elixir wrote:EMS on something dvd/cd sized should be 1300-1500 yen at maximum.
