Yeah, sorry that I can't attend. I really would like to. Hopefully by this fall I'll have some backup at work too. I've just been doing far too much juggling lately, very little gaming.

Howdy. I'm just popping in to say that I cannot wait for this god damn meet. That is all.

Just tell them you have a funeral to attend. People don't mess with that. In any case, you'll be missed.

It's looking like it'll be another epic meet, hopefully the weather doesn't flare up again on everyone traveling. If things work out I'll see y'all at gunbirds later in the year :) .

I'm looking at making it to the meet. Getting in at 10-something pm on Friday. Should be a great time!

Still room on the floor for the two nights? :)

I got the days off, so even if I can't find a carpool by next week, I'll make the trek myself. I could bring down my IIDX stuff if people want.

Too bad you can't make it man - we'll miss having you!

UPDATE:

I just send out the PM's with my info, so if you didn't get one and need the info, pm me and I'll send it out. I moved gunbird18's vs. Red Tent cab into my place today and will try and get the monitors straightened out for some more old school magic. We will have plenty of CRT's and a few HD's in the house as well - I'll probably be more lacking in counter space than monitors!

SCORING CONTEST:

There will be the carnival title which will be announced at the meet and the super-secret midnight scoring title like usual. The top scorer in either will get a validation of their achievement.

The G 'n G didn't make it up this year - it's ridiculously heavy. Like 300+ pounds heavy. I can always get it set up in the garage for those who need that old school thing...

Otherwise, I'll have plenty of soda and snacks, but meals are on you. Good news is, there are a ton of places on my block to eat, including a Chipotle at the end of my street a half a block away, a Giordano's around the corner, two Subways, a Potbelly's and a dozen other local spots. Oh, and People Play Games is right up the street as well for those in need of a vintage gaming shoping trip. Be warned, his prices can be pretty steep on some things, but his selection is pretty decent.

I look forward to having you all

Yeah me too. You guys have to be here for the next one. You'll be missed!

OK - so I got a Luive Stream account and I am currently streaming me working at SRAM right now. Check it out and hit me up in the chat room to confirm you can see it ok:

I think we are then a go for the Live Streaming at the event.

Oh and yes, that is a card board house right behind me. Stay tuned for more info on that...

Dropping like flies! I'll be there nonetheless.

I mentioned way back when that I could bring a JP 360. It started acting up since then, and I replaced it with a US console (since all of my games except RFA and Ketsui are region free anyway), so don't count on me for that. I could still bring my RFA, Futari, Galuda II, and Ketsui disks if needed, but I'm guessing if somebody else brings a JP 360 they'll already have those.

I think all of those will be covered - seems like a few people will be bringing X360 stuff.

Speaking of that - andy one planning on bringing a copy of Ketsuipachi? I'm really very interested in plaing it.

Got it covered, man. :) I'm bringing every shmup released on 360, and Ketsupachi is fantastic. Only discrepancy to that may be that a friend is currently borrowing my Shikigami 3 and DDP:DOJ for 360, but he sent them back and they should be here by Friday.

Augh I wish I'd been reminded of this sooner, just heard about it last weekend at the Michigan meet...Next year I will definitely be in attendance, this seems like a really fun weekend.

It should be pretty good. I set up the TV's/Monitors and cabs last night. Got space for the TV's coming in and we should be good to go.

I'll be home around 3 pm this afternoon greeting incoming guests, playing and chilling and probably listening to some live Rush records. I look forward to seeing you all.

It is with deep regret that my wife and I will not be in attendance
we had planned to be there and I had got the time at work, but a scheduling snafu with her appointment has it where she has to go in the afternoon instead of the early morning…
we plan to be better prepared for the next one and hope to be in attendance!

First night done - well, almost...still a couple guys playing Batrider.

I'm pooped, though earlier I set a new high score in Ketsui and I'm just about cross eyed. I'll post up here when we get to live streaming tomorrow. I'll have to have Zerst display his talents at Dodonpachi...
