Scart->HDMI coverters for 2011

Post by Zapf »

I noticed that there are updated versions of those RGB scart to hdmi converters/upscalers available now - most advertise upscaling to 1080p instead of just 720p (ie Lenkeng's LKV362). How do these compare with the older ones with regards to picture quality / processing lag?

identical.

But wouldn't you prefer a RGB to VGA converter in order to use the SLG3000 with it ?

While the Scart/HDMI converters work fine, they use the same chip as most Lenkeng processors which means "ok for the price", but mediocre measured again other processors. The SLG helps in masking a lot of the deinterlacing artefacts..

Its not for me =) I'm fine with my xrgb2 until more info about that frame meister comes out, but there are some on other forums that are always asking about easy, cheap ways to get consoles on their tvs without it looking like total crap. I just wanted to check on that.
