I've just been contacted by someone working on behalf of FedEX requesting me to send them a FCC form 740 so that customs will allow my console to go through.
In my case, I told the agent that I wasn't sure I was qualified to determine whether or not the console complied to FCC regulations. It sounds like they'll be referring the matter to P-A.
I guess my questions to anyone else who's had to deal with this are:
1. Does the NTSC-J 360 console comply with FCC regulations?
2. How long did the process delay the shipping of your item?
EDIT - I'm also curious as to why I did not have to do this the first time I ordered a console from P-A. Does P-A usually complete this form on the customer's behalf?

Re: Play-Asia, Customs, FCC Form 740
I contacted Play-Asia the same day I posted this. They told me that their shipping department had everything under control, and all I had to do was sit on my happy ass until I got my package.
I read online that if something doesn't clear customs in a day, it will take a week. So, I chose to be patient.
As of today, it was still awaiting clearance. So I contacted Fed Ex.
They told me that they are still waiting for that FCC 740 form, and have been in daily email contact with Play-Asia trying to get the form information, but have yet to receive a response.
I've contacted Play-Asia to remind them of the situation, but I no longer trust their ability to complete this form on my behalf.
I'll be contacting Microsoft - maybe they can help me fill the form out - but I just want to give you all a heads up: P-A might not be as reliable as it used to be.

Microsoft referred me to the shipper.
Play-Asia sent me a response to the effect that they'd already sent the form, so all I have to do is sit on my happy ass.
It was almost exactly the message I got before, when they had done no such thing.
I decided to check with Fed Ex before I flew off the handle. Thankfully, P-A actually sent the form out this time around.
I might my new Xbox in time for the three day weekend. Joy!

Customs is bullshit in all forms.
