The website says it's getting a worldwide release so it will be on the US XBLA too. Joy!!

The engrish of the site is delicious. :P

But glad they are doing that move. It really feels like Psyvariar 2 at times, although I didn't see any buzz/graze mechanic.

edit: the inclusion of a healthbar puts it close to Cybattler more than anything else. It'll also shut up the people who complain "you die in one hit".

I posted this on the G-Rev Facebook page yesterday:
Slightly off topic (apologies!) but it would be great to see Under Defeat or Border Down released in future (maybe on XBLA or as a double pack on disc?) I'd certainly buy it :)
G-Rev replied:
Thanks Marcus! It sounds like you guys really want those titles on XBLA. We'd love to do them, so keep your fingers crossed.

Damn it they'd better port them on to a DVD. Those ports would be a bestseller for sure. Please G-rev don't abandon physical media.

The site has tons of English. Did anyone else notice it already has an ESRB rating?

About DLC
Timed with the release of the arcade version, G.Rev is planning on releasing a downloadable expansion for the Xbox Live Arcade version. This is titled "Side Vower" and offers a new story told from the perspective of the enemy Vower Army forces. This means you'll be facing off against the characters and mecha you play as in the main game. Pricing and release time frame for the download content were not announced.

The first track in the trailer… Wow, fell in love with it from the first couple seconds. o_0

I have no idea how it plays, but it looks and sounds incredible. If it's really good, for 800 MSP it's going to be a steal (honestly I have no idea if it's even going to be profitable like that; they've sure spent a lot of resources to get all that awesome 3D design done).

Great trailer, G.Rev has always had a flair for presentation in their games. They'll definitely be making extra money off of me for the DLC release. Completely changed stages, bosses, and sounds? Fight the Strania mech as your rival? Sign me up.

Edit: Also, netplay co-op! (see trailer @ ~1:32)

That looks like it's going to be the best game ever made.

This is looking better all the time. 800 MS points is fantastic, but I would have paid $80 for a physical release. The multi directional shot is really cool and it looks like the stage design is built around it. I actually have never played a G-REV game as before I blew up my DC all I bought was fighters. I never got around to Border Down or Under Defeat, something I kinda regret now....

Someone might already noted this, but it looks like you might have some ability to aim at least some of your shots - almost resembles a twin-stick shooter in places.

The Direction weapon seems to have that oldschool "shoot in the opposite direction you last moved in" flavor to it. Considering threats, targets, and environmental hazards are coming from all directions in this game, keeping a weapon like that on hand looks pretty much necessary (although maybe the sword can also attack 360 degrees?)

The BGM in the trailer just made me go "DAMN!". :D It's 10/10 stuff.
This looks like my game AND soundtrack pick of the year for 2011.

If Strania came out tomorrow, Hard Corps would have to get in line right behind it. This should compensate for the lack of a Super Aleste sequel (you don't see a Multi-direction shot too often). I'm wondering if the arcade version will be upgraded in any way- or simply a direct port. I can almost see G.Rev doing a Black Label or Remix release for arcades, then later as a 2nd expansion for the 360 version.
Kinect? KIN NOT.
