I just picked up a batrider pcb and I'm hoping you guys can help me find some explanations for the board. It looks legit to me but there are a couple of things that stand out. First, there is no Raizing logo etched into the board. Second, the EPROMS do not match. They look like legit Japan ver B roms, and the board boots into Japan ver B. Maybe it was an official upgrade to a different region board?
Over on the neo-geo forum, someone has a Hong Kong pcb without the Raizing logo (http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=168075). Maybe this was originally a Hong Kong pcb and was upgraded with the Japan ver B roms? Any other ideas? Could it be a bootleg?
There used to be a time when it was possible to buy a full PCB kit of Batrider Korean version for a mere $120.00 that tech-god Matt Ross was selling back in the early 2000s. I didn't get in on that particular deal though as I already had one in my arcade PCB stash. As it stands, the classic arcade shmup PCBs like Batrider is slowly going up in price. It's quite an amazing shmup PCB title in it's own right.
