Yes.
Also, does the retail one just give a free code to dl BL so I could play with the 1.5 disk?
Not sure but I doubt it. Somebody who gets the retail version but not the DLC will have to confirm. I double dipped... :|

I doubt it. There's loads of other content on the marketplace (like videos and gamerpics) that you can also access via the 1.5 download menu.

Fudoh wrote:How are the achievements handled ? The DLC version probably adds 250 points to the 1000 of 1.5. What about BL retail ? Does it have the same 250 points for BL plus another 750 for the Ketsui Arrange version ?
DLC adds 250 points to DFK1.5, while BL retail has 1000 split between BL/Novice and Daifukketsui Arrange. There are some overlapping achievements that you'll have to earn twice if you double-dip, actually.

Normally, monkeys wouldn't go out of their way to no-miss an entire game just for Zatsuza.

Well that was cool! Zatsusa looks a bit feeble in the first form (look at the widdle bee!) but I love the last pattern. Laser festival!

On the Leaderboards, if you select Black Label on the left, there's another filter setting on the far right to toggle between BL and 1.5. What's this for? Is it a seperate leaderboard for the DLC and the retail disc? If so, that is incredibly dumb.

You guys who's already gotten the retail disc, does it install like a standalone title, or just add itself to the 1.5 options like any other mode? Also, do you have to switch disc to 1.5 to play it? Is it region free?

It's its own game with its own set of achievements. Just treat it as black label the game with ketsupachi.

The DLC is just black label that requires 1.5 to run like how black label does on mushihimesama futari

So, you don't need 1.5 installed at all, it's in fact a standalone game then. This is unexpected.

Well it shouldn't be that unexpected, they announced it as such originally when they first revealed the plans for dfk black label.

I'd like to get a confirmation that you can get the BL soundtrack to 1.5 with the disk release. Because if you can't do that I might as well buy the DLC version now and avoid having to wait for the disk version to arrive.

You mean play Black Label with the BGM from Ver 1.5?

You can do that. You can tailor the soundtrack to your exact requirements as mentioned earlier by emphatic. However, the retail disc also brings the added option of Arrange (Ketsui) to the table, so 3 soundtracks to choose from.

No, I mean play 1.5 with the BL soundtrack. I've heard from people who have the DLC, that you can do this with it, but I haven't found any info if it's possible to do that with the disk version.

It's exactly that yes, while you can browse both leaderboards with the DLC, you can't download retail replays period (I don't know if it's the same the other way around, but that wouldn't be very surprising)

That's only possible with Ver 1.5 + DLC

The only game modes on the disc are Black Label, Black Label Novice & Arrange. Ver 1.5 isn't on it.

That is quite possibly the dumbest design decision ever. Piss-poor actually.

I was too excited about the Ketsui styled arrange mode to care. Still am. I can afford to buy all of them, so. 8)

Ugh, why does it have to be like this? I really hope Ketsupachi isn't fundamentally broken in some way, because if that were the case the retail release would be so not worth getting compared to the DLC. :\

I was hoping it was gonna be like how they did the 1.51 where they had a key for the DLC to use on 1.5 and the arrange mode was just on the disk. I am disappoint cave.

Still worth having 1.5 for Arrange A. I'm really getting into that mode now, it's what DFK 1.5 should really have been.

However, can someone clear something up for me?

I understand that with the BL DLC you get some nifty options regarding music selecting for different modes. For instance, does it allow you to have BL music on Arrange A?

Because Ketsupachi is standalone, there's no way you can have this functionality with 1.5 if you don't download the BL DLC - is this correct?

Thanks for the help.

Right, thanks. So just to clarify: if I don't have the BL DLC, there's no way I can get this music functionality on 1.5 with just the standalone Ketsupachi disc. It doesn't patch something to my HD or something so I can get the same music options with 1.5?
