Keeping true to my new years resolution to play more games! Sara has green lighted me to host again Saturday Jan 8th, 2011! Gonna try to host until you guys tap out and say no mas!
Gonna try to convince my partner in crime, Stuffmonger to come over early again to help me work on some projects then its game on! If you'd like to join us for some fun gaming please drop me a pm or hit me up on my cel/text at 714-588-4247. Start time would be around 4pm until probably 9 or 10pm. I'm located in Garden Grove, CA 92841. Last week, Juno First, Moon Patrol and Bosconian were hits in the candy cabs. I'll happily put them in again or may put in a suprise title or 2. As always my dedicated cabs will be available for play as well. Hope to see the usual suspects as well as some new faces

Not sure how many people are interested due to the holiday and short notice, but I am looking forward to some volfied, bosconian, timepilot 84, robotron, juno first and zeke's peak action! If plan on attending, please dress warm (I recommend a hat of some type) as it's pretty damn cold, but the garage should heat up abit with the games on plus I've got a couple space heaters if need be.

Just wanted to thank stuffmonger for coming out and helping me repair/upgrade again. Thanks to him and my other friend howard, I'm just about ready to start hosting regularly again. Looking very forward to 2011 and beyond. It was good seeing dewmansnk, stuffmonger, vba and xray2 last night. Had a great time playing Juno First, Bosconian, Moon Patrol, Volfied + the cabs.. Still cant believe Andrew threw up that insane 365k on Juno First. Sorry I didnt have a save kit installed to keep it forever but I'll have it in next time. Nice to see sinistar getting so much love. Thanks for including my sons and taking care not to step on em, they had a blast. I think the socal crew is gonna have alot of fun times ahead. Now that I got the garage cleaned up/arranged somewhat + the major repair projects are nearly complete (save for ab2 doh! and my 4 games being repaired in glendale. upgraded electricity to power all the games underway) I feel I'm ready to attempt to host at least 1 day per month, provided I get the ok from my wife, lol.
Also at some point I'll be looking into having a high score board to keep track of what to aim for and who holds the title.

Hey techically this did occur on Jan 1st, so does this actually count for the month? This time around it, with most of my issues ironed out, it was so much fun and easy, I'm ready for another. Really liked the quick fix of 4 hours or so of gaming. Could definitely use another.. anyone interested for either this friday or saturday? lmk and I'll see if I can clear it with the wife With the games and space heaters going, the garage was pretty comfortable. I had thought we'd mebbe have to huddle for warmth Saturday, but it was all good.

Hey SoCal'ers,

just wanted to provide an update...Definitely plan to host many more gaming hookups this year with a target for the next one in a month or so, but am currently shut down for maintenance. Here's an update of some of the stuff (no pun intended) going on:

CPO for Tempest,
Still investigating Asteroids deluxe sound issue.
Afterburner Deluxe. button up. replace fan.
Crazy Climber upright traded awaiting pickup.
Time Pilot 84 pcbs - boots to garbage, was working fine before need to investigate.
Incoming cabs: wizard of wor, Pole Position, black widow, FrontLine
Service tracballs for all games.
Fonz being modded
Awaiting restorations for: Star Wars, Spyhunter sitdown, Zookeeper.
Looking for: Mad Planets

Anyways...thats whats going on. Stuffmonger has been invaluable as always helping me with alot of these. I'm really looking forward to getting these done, hosting again and seeing you guys soon.

I'll be watching and waiting for your next get together. Once I get my rom set up maybe I can host once in a while too. I have a decent size gameroom but need to re-wire to get more stuff on at once. Only 15 amps in the room.

Sorry for the lengthy delay. My work schedule exploded this month so everything has been pretty much placed on hold. I'm hoping it subsides in a week or 2, but its been a lifesaver for the pocket book. My garage is still a disaster area with my Afterburner Deluxe Restoration going one. It's almost completely disassembled, with more to go. The good news is it now works 100%, but pulled the monitor to do a cap kit and still need to get the wheel bracket I fabricated welded to the cab. I'm hoping my welder friend can get to it this week.

I've talked with Stuffmonger about hosting a gaming party soon to celebrate our good friend Matsu and his wife's incoming baby. The Afterburner and my work schedule are the road blocks at the moment.
