Sorry, I meant njiska, who blathered something about "damn hippies" or somesuch in one of his posts. Could have been a bit clearer on that, but in my defense I started a new paragraph there.
njiska wrote: It shouldn't be pointed out because it's not relevant to the conversation. We're talking about finding House of the Dead 4 and the conversation has kind of gotten side tracked into willing travel to experience it, But no one here wants to have a debate about the environment and one trip to have dinner with a good friend I only see a few times a year is hardly a justified catalyst to start demonizing me. I'm not saying it isn't a debate worth having and if you'd like to start a new thread about it by all means do so, but this is neither the time nor place.
I would have let it rested if you hadn't had your glorious "Yer talking nonsense" comeback. I stated once that what you're doing is irresponsible, and if you present new arguments I will naturally respond. I'm aware of the fact that most people here don't want to have a discussion on environmental issues, but neither do I. I don't expect you to like what I say, but still, the way you're wasting gas is stupid and irresponsible and I would dare say that most people who think about this for more than a second will agree. There, can we let this rest now? There's nothing new for you to say anyway; you will probably continue acting the way you do, and will keep deriding people who think this is wrong. Suit yourself.

Oh, one more thing:

We hung out there for a few days, but one night we went to see a movie (The Other Guys...it was OK) and the movie theater was deserted. We were scared at first, but went in...there was no way we were going to pass up a free movie. We took our choice of seats and after some fiddling with the projector, began to watch the movie. A little time passed, and with my LARGE soda cup empty I got up to get a refill. (free movies, free soda...OH YEAH!!!)

As I approached the soda machine, I began to wonder why the theater was deserted. Maybe they had all gone one break? Nervousness began to wash over me, as I thought how the cops would show up and arrest us for trespassing or some sort-
I turned to my right and looked out the window, arrest now being the last of my worries. Coming out of the darkness were multitudes of people. But I knew they weren't people, there was no mistaking it. ZOMBIES.

For a moment I stood frozen, as if my mind could not completely grasp the situation. The torn flesh. The dead eyes. Stumbling and shambling as they approached their next meal. Could the glass hold them? Where there any zombies by the emergency exits? There thoughts and more raced through my mind, panic building up, despair rising...

One thought brought me back. Head. Aim for the head! It was the voice of my father. How long had it been since I had thought of him? I made a mental note to send him a postcard in the faraway land that he was. After that, it was only action. I grabbed my Uzi, and started to fire. The sound of gunfire and death filled the theater.

If you asked me to recall what had happened, I would say I do not know. I can barely remember anything. It was all a blur and once I found the grenades it was complete chaos. How many hours had passed? What had happened to all my quarters? It didn't matter at this point. My mom and sister where alive, and so was I. As we made our way out of the theater, I turned around and fired my Uzi for the last time. Neatly written with the bulllets I had fired were three letters: ABT. My initials. We left the movie theater and never looked back.

It was a pretty good game.

I'm giving this my stamp of approval. Anyone who wants to discuss how making a day trip in a gasoline-powered automobile may or may not result in global apocalyptic destruction can go make a new thread but the moderators had better not see any more about it in this one.

Screw the haters, House of the Dead 4 is fucking awesome. Waaaay better than part 3 which is a piece of shit in comparison. I'm fortunate enough to have seen quite a few places in the Portland area get the game, and whenever I see one I always feel inclined to play it and leave a high score on it. I've probably finished it on one credit around ~50 times over the last few years.

At first I thought the game was pretty bullshit because of certain boss attack patterns where you have to be dead-on accurate for an extended period of time (remember you've got uzis that fire at a fixed rate, as opposed to pistols or shotguns where you can physically fire faster than someone else), or else you take a hit. Then I realized the grenades are there to let you get through the BS. Your grenade stock gets refilled to 3 after every stage, so you might as well use them unless you're playing for score (and even then grenades are only worth 300 points each at the end of a level).

The big problem now is that a lot of the aforementioned cabinets I've played on... tend to have fucked calibration now. Probably a by-product of the gun shaking. As time goes on it gets harder to find a cabinet with one adequate gun. :(

I was wondering if the game will ever see a homeport since move has been released and Namco has released his shooting compilation. It will be great I love the series however I've never got the chance to try this one.

I wasn't trolling, we really do have this here. $2 nzd per game.

Hahaha, I love this thread. I love what happens on this site when I post something and forget about it.

Anyway, that whole environment thing is totally irrelevant as I travel by flying carpet which runs only on magic and the will to achieve my dreams and stuff. I only want to go 200 miles because sometimes it gets cold in the atmosphere and I hate running into storm clouds, plus my girlfriend starts rapid texting if I stay gone and I have cats to think about.

Still, I did get some useful info about HotD 4 cabs even if no one knows of one that's close. Thanks all! ^_^

Shame Sega didn't think of a reload button on the bottom of the gun, similar to Namco Guncon 3 and the Terminator Salvation arcade gun. Shame their Rambo doesn't have the arrow-grenade outside of certain event scenes. Some people shake the gun a little too viciously during the scenes that require you to joggle it back and forth to escape.

The stages are the easy part for me. It's usually at a boss where I have to continue.
PS3 port please- and pity Kinect for not including some kind of handheld control, even as an option. A 360 version of Razing Storm was considered but scrapped when Namco knew Kinect had no remote.
Kinect? KIN NOT.

Man, I didn't like HOTD4 at all. But, it is probably better than 3, which had that terrible level where you're just being chased the whole time. It's too bad there's no good port of HOTD1, which might be the best in the series.

There *is* a 2-pack of Raising Storm and one of the later Time Crisis games (4?) for the PS3. I'm not sure if there is a gun for Move or not though.

Still hopeful that this gets the Wii release that was rumoured... erm... ages ago :(

Which muppet rushed HOTD2 on DC so the original HOTD didn't get in? Worst decision ever - leaving only a PC mouse-fest or Saturn vomit textures
