That's neat, but I'm hijacking the thread to ask about the Bulletstorm demo. Is it very good? Imma probaly get it anyway but am looking for some opinions.
It's a Call of Duty clone and nothing else. Only major difference is terrible framerate. Seriously, 20FPS, what the fuck?
Hope the terrible framerate means the PC version will be an adequate benchmarking game for PC's like the first one was. Because thats all this series is good for, the game itself sucks.

Nah, it's good, you just have to make it good. Install Combat Weapons mod, set difficulty to hardest, enjoy. Don't forget to stop playing after the zero-G level...
As for 2 being a good benchmark, chances are it will be due to bad optimization rather than impressive content. When a map this tiny is barely playable, what are the chances you'll get bigger stuff in singleplayer?
"A game isn't bad because you resent it. A game is bad because it's shitty."
Crysis and its expansion were such awful games that I`m not sure I`ll even bother with Crysis 2. May download it from torrents later on to use as a benchmark though.
Seems like just because Crysis had incredible graphics, people write it off as a benchmarking program and nothing more. It didn't revolutionize the genre but it had some fun, fairly open-ended fighting. I mean, if you don't like that then you probably just don't like single-player FPSes in the first place.
Anyway, I hope 2 isn't just a clone of the modern installments in the COD series. That would be a bummer.
Crysis and Crysis Warhead were both awesome playing (and looking) games. I hope the focus on consoles doesn't dilute the experience TOO much for us PC folks. Unfortunately the fact that this demo is on the 360 and not the PC isn't really making me feel too optimistic.

Just played the PS3 demo, and besides getting stuck in some geometry and having to reset, it is quite good. It's all about crazy combos and score. Watching the tutorials at the beginning might be a good idea for some people to understand how to play it (and avoid more "Vanquish is just Gears of War" bullshit). Graphics are good, though not Gears 2 good, in the PS3 version anyway.

I found it completely boring. The profanity is childish; the skill kills are neat, but impractical and lack of a jump button is just Bullshit. I see what they were going for, but an fps, especially one this visually bland, is not the kind of game i want to play for score. Tutorials were nice and at least got you thinking about how to play the game.
Mostly i hate the stupid decision to implement Gears of war Controls. Hold A to run? Wait for the context box to mantle over low walls that are literally every where? Awkward and not enjoyable
As for Crysis 2, I tried to play but couldn't get connected to a game. Not sure if that's an issue on EA's end or just my ISP fucking around again.

^ Definitely agree the lack of jump button is strange. The press button prompt to get over low walls and such is a bit weird in first person. Enjoying the scoring though, nice that there are leaderboards for the demo.
