Ok here's the story:

This was from the owner of a movie store in the flea market. He was in business for many years and when I start going to that flea market two years ago I ask him about that and he said it's real. Two years later to today I went to the flea market tables and I notice the photo with Arnold on it. I said WTF is that from the movie guy? Turns out that lady who was on the table was selling on behalf of the money guy. I talk to the movie guy and he confirm he was hitting on hard times so he's selling his personal stuff, including the Arnold and the lady was selling for him. His price was $15 since "no body is going to buy it except for the hardcore 80s fans" and "you can put it at $5 and no regular person was going to buy it." Next to it was the rare Star Wars Special Edition Laserdisc boxset which the guy wants $20 for it (I already have the originals on LDs back home). I ask the guy how did you get Arnold to sign it and he said he went to Orlando over 10+ years ago and he got Arnold to sign it there. After talking to him I got the cash and pay for it. When I get an apartment it will be one of my centralpieces hanging on the wall. This will be one of the few things that I hope I will never sell because once it's gone I will never see it again.

After years of casual searching online and at miscellany junk shops throughout the greater Tokyo area, this weekend I finally found the Alien soap dispenser I had coveted for so long.

They really dropped the ball on the design. Why doesn't the soap come from the mouth of the alien?

Still awesome, though

Now because I got Arnold the roommates are saying to take it to PSA to get it confirm it's legit but just because it's Arnold it will be $50, plus $25 since it's one autograph, and shipping both ways. Fuck that.

Picked up this bundle of Genesis games for $40:

Mostly wanted Castlevania and Thunder Force III, but the rest of the games are nice as well, and the only one in the lot I already owned was Aladdin.

Speaking of General Chaos - was there ever any function to the yellow tabs on EA carts? I remember my friends and I used to suppose their reason for being quite often. Never could come up with a good explanation as to why they were there.

I think it was just EA's gimmick to say "hey, check out our games and their big and bulky unique appearance". I can't imagine it would be much more than that, though.

Dang thats Sakura? Thought Casper just got a bit sluttier. Without the hat its hard to tell.

Just noticed that Pier Solar. I wish I had pre-ordered this a while back. Now I'm unsure.
That is quite the load of sweet games too.

Symbolic - DEATH tribute DVD
This DVD is so fuckin good. Any serious DEATH fan needs to drop what they are doing and order this now. It's a live concert by a DEATH tribute
band featuring special performances by ex-DEATH members, including: Bobby Koeble (guitar on Symbolic), Shannon Hamm (guitar on The Sound of Perseverance), Scott Clendenin (Bass on TSOP). Also features Richard Christies old drum tech for a few songs, plus Nick Barker (Dimmu Borgir) and others.

I had doubts when I ordered this, but man these guys can pull it off. The lead guitarist nails everyone of Chuck's solos. And with the production quality I actually think that this sounds* better than the DEATH Live in LA dvd.

I went on my first run looking specifically for shmups the other day at a few local used game stores. Usually when I go out I just browse around but I took a list with me this time and everything went much more smoothly. I think I'll try to bring a list more often because I still come across random stuff (metal slug) while looking for specific titles.

The SNES title is Thunder Spirits which I hadn't even heard of until recently so it was a nice surprise to find that.

Nice finds! I love the hell out of my Shikigami 2, was my first real shmup (I dont count silpheed on ps2)

That Taito Legends 2 has some sweet games on it. If you were to buy them seperatly on the saturn, it would be like $200 worth of shmups.
