Hey all,
I've been lurking for some time now, and I just wanted to get some advice and to speak to someone with similar experience.
I am thinking of buying a HD Box Pro.
I own a CSY2100 clone (it's a CVS287), and a PAL Samsung 50" LCD HDTV (I own another 32" PAL Electroview LCD TV), and a PAL Sega Mega Drive 1 (with region and 50/60hz mod).
The problem is: there is no video when I connect the Sega to the CSY2100 clone and to the 32" LCD TV under 50/60hz. I get a black screen with "mode unsupported" or "invalid signal" on the TV. I believe this is because the CSY2100 outputs 240p from the RGB SCART signal, and these HDTV LCD TV's can't do anything with it and won't display it.
The Samsung however DOES display the video but only when the Sega is in 50hz mode, not in 60hz mod. When in 60hz mode the symptoms are as above - no display and a error message.
Very strange. What I want to know is - has anyone here had success with plugging in a CSY2100 into the HD Box Pro (via component cable) and outputting the VGA into a LCD TV? Is the RGB SCART signal preserved or is the quality decreased? I'm just not in the mood to waste more money to try this out. Thanks again guys!
HD Box Pro - Works with CSY2100?
Re: HD Box Pro - Works with CSY2100?
The HDBP is perfectly capable of seeing and handling 240p content. I have no experience with the CSY-2100, but I can't see why it wouldn't work.
