yo strider....

just wanted to thank you for providing such good shmups entertainment at magfest.

Got a chance to play so many great shmups (and to play my TGM2 with many people). You truly are awesome, so thanks! Can't wait for next year! :)

Thanks for all the props... had tons of fun meeting you guys. Nice change of pace to see folks who all ready know what the games are without me having to tell them. hope to keep in touch with you guys and see you next year.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

Were there a lot of puzzle games? I've never been to MAGFest before, so I wasn't sure.

I was going to go this year, but didn't... probably will go next year.

I saw a couple versions of Tetris (Arika and the NES one on Playchoice 10 plus maybe the Atari one,) Magical Drop III, Puzzle Fighter HD, Tetris Attack, and some anime girl Quix game if that counts.

I was planning to put in Tetris with Cardcaptor Sakura at some point, but it totally slipped my mind and by then my PS2 (which I had originally set up for Puyo Puyo 15th Anniversary) was being used for other things. Magical Drop III got some time in, but not as much as previous years as there was apparently something wrong with the SNK cab - another cab was repurposed on short notice to run the Garou MotW and Magical Drop III tournaments on Saturday. I'm also kind of sad the Gamecube Puzzle Collection with the four player Panel de Pon didn't make a return - it was MIA at last year's Otakon also =/

I won Magical Drop III despite not having played it since last year's MAGFest. Woo~

I didn't get a single play on the Ibara BL all two or so days it was there. Every time I walked over there were two people happily button mashing and churning butter with it.

Out of curiosity, are you guys doing Animazement this year? I'm giving serious consideration to going this year, and that's a lot closer to you guys than MAGFest anyway...

Yeah, we will be setting up there as usual. We run the whole game room and could use an extra import 360 for sure.

Phew, managed to avoid getting my picture taken 8)

Ibara Kuro was great; Pink Sweets was, too.
Futari BL wasn't as good as I'd hoped but not bad. Somehow my incredibly pathetic Original score held the top spot for a long time (I only got to stage 4).

People credit-feeding through Pink Sweets = puke

I'm actually sort of glad the cabs ended up where they did inside the game room proper. If they had stayed in that hallway we would have had to play while completely drowned out by Colossus's constant WOOOOAAAAAAARRRGGH all day.

If you are from shmups.com and your at magfest this year... come and introduce yourself. I'll be around, ask for Tim if I'm not.
