Forgot to mention another reason why I enjoy DFK so much - since the enemy bosses are female it lets me take out my aggression on girls who won't date me. I often find myself yelling at the TV "die robot bitches, that's what you get for not loving meeeee!!!!"

It gets even better when you imagine that EVERY enemy in the game is a female.

The solution to this oversaturation of loli shmups is simple: Make a shota shmup.

Or just make a shmup that doesn't cater to any specific sexual perversion?

I just went all the way and imagined someone trying to chop his dick off with rotor blades. I´ve been on the internet for too long.

You knock it off! I am a fine, upstanding, tax-paying citizen! Not some crazed sex pervert!

Also, the face on that possible woman kills it for me. I think the MMP girls fall safely enough on the "human" side for me to preserve my chances for a city council position.

I love you guys and all this nonsence (and I'd love to have a look at Skykid's browser history from when he found that image) but we should at least try and get back on topic!

What exactly is the topic again? I know we started with Skykid's DFK inferiority complex, but it feels like A: we've been off track for a while and B: The part that's on topic should have been in the DFK thread. I think this whole discussion has more or less run it's course.

The most amazing thing is that during the course of this thread, despite a shedload of forum members turning up to add comments of dissatisfaction, it's still somehow only my opinion! Wtf? Image

Whatever, batten the hatches, close the doors, lock it down. I believe the general consensus has been cast, and we all have a DFK inferiority complex. Stand firm brothers.

Seriously, couldn't this have gone in the DFK thread? Maybe I should open a separate topic for every game I want to bash?

It could have done, but A: it's not a bashing thread, and B: it's not in the DFK thread because I chose not to put it there.

So is it just me or has anyone else shelved their DFK already?
Daifukkatsu lacks a soul... in comparison to Dodonpachi, Esprade, Ketsui, Futari, etc.. something about it just feels off to me, despite how I expected to enjoy it extremely and it being kickass looking detailed mech stuff, the game feels lightweight and disconnected in its presentation and feel. It's similar to playing some 2d game with a large character but the controls are all floaty and weightless and don't match the visuals you are seeing.. something just feels off.

To the people that don't enjoy 1.5, do you enjoy Arrange B?

I'm curious if it's not that the game "doesn't have a soul" but rather that there just isn't a ship that makes you want to pilot it?

Not many people are playing Arrange B because something about it is broken I hear, maybe the scoring or something along those lines. There's a patch due to fix it sometime this month so I'm sure there'll be more footage/information on Arrange B later once it comes.

I love 1.5 but I think I enjoy Arrange B more.

I haven't played the game enough to really play for score yet but... like you said, there is a patch on the way.
