I have to admit that I was expecting more of a story coming in here about how tinotormed got into shmups and not really some kind of argument. I couldn't help but laugh for some reason at what unfolded of it.

Getting on topic, there are a couple letdowns in the videos(mainly DDP double play, I was expecting 2 people/2 seperate inputs for both sides) but among other things 45 mil in BWR+ Heaven isn't bad and if that's really a Raiden II 1 Loop clear I saw up there that isn't that easy either(not that I've ever played Raiden II but Raiden 1 has kicked my ass enough times for me to assume that II is no easier. I don't know a good 1/2 of the games in the first post so there's not a whole lot else I can say right now...

I've been thinking about doing a "life of a mexican shmupper" topic someday since I'm kinda in the same boat as you are...except I'm mexican lol. How many times will someone hear about a Mexican staring at Hibachi in Dodonpachi?

You have a nice collection of shmup videos for only one year of playing. Keep it going and don't loose the fun in playing!

Yeah, but i am not really good at them as I kept getting killed on Normal unfortunately. But i still focus on shmups on every console and I might tackle a higher difficulty on them. At least I am still a fan of this genre though. This is my very first year in this forum, and one day, I might look for some challenges and for some to upload.

If you want to get better the best would be if you would focus on one game for a long period.
You can play some other games from time to time to relax a little bit.
But playing only one shmup as your main shmup for several month will surely improve your skill in that game and your overall skill as well.

Good suggestion, but for now I've got to focus on that Raiden III Normal mode and plan to post a score and a replay for it. I did other shmup replays on Easy though, but this one would be majority for me. Oh, and I changed the title to "tinotormed's Philippine superplay shack" to avoid some meltdown.

I'm not into playing Raiden myself at all ( I like Viper Phase 1 though) but I always enjoy watching replays of the Raiden games. So looking forward to it.

It's always entertaining and sometimes educational watching others play so I don't mind these kinds of threads at all, in fact there should be more of them.

If you really want to enforce the policy of posting youtube videos only in the YT thread you might as well make it a sticky then. Same with the introduction thread that sails in the page X right now >_>

What we meant is that WE'RE against "users" who are a bunch of elitists and claim stuff like "it needs to be 80% of WR score to be a superplay" and that kind of bullshit. Put that word back onto the title. AND stop listening to people who suggest you should change the title of the topic or question your quality of the videos in THE wrong way. What matters is that you keep playing it and enjoying it. Fuck the haters, enjoy the games!

As an lover of X.X games its cool to see some BWR loving (although it would be better if you hadnt turned off the background music as Shmups need music as much as a fish needs water imo) I prefer BWR over the later plus version due to it been harder and not having that jerky slowdown thats used way too much in plus.

EDIT ive never played Sonic Ironstorm but its simlar twin Demolition Gunner ISAD is a fave of mine I very much recommended as a easy but fun 1CC

I enjoyed watching parts of Coryoon and harmfull park as thats the 1st time ive seen those games. As someone who usually plays bullet filled verts I definatly can see me playing some retro cute em up horis as a fun distraction

If youre like Nexat soft's games I highly recomend you try out summer Carnival 91 Recca which is viewed by many as quite a hard 1CC which it is for anyone who doesnt know the rules of play. Although if you read the strategy guide and use the correct power ups in the right places (shield with homing secondry shot and Lv3 laser FTW) you should have no trouble beating it.

Also what version of Raiden 2 are you playing? Im just wondering with version is the best to play on the pc, between the windows or PS1 versions. any have tate?

Oh BTW Ive noticed that youve changed your You Tube background due to complaints over it been too colourfull but the new picture is just as bad. Please could you change it again for a more muted picture that allows ppl to read the text easily.
Been a shmup player who hates playing shmups with overly colourfull backgrounds that obscure the bullets its a bit of a pet peeve of mine now when I see a simlar thing else where like on YT profile pages
