I think it is a shame that there isn't a company that is able to do Criterion style releases of games. Sure, once in awhile there is a special edition of a game that is substantial released, but it is typically when the game is first released. I'm talking about that really cool re release packed with extras, and a nice cover, etc.. The only game that comes to mind that is like that was the Directors Cut of Fatal Frame II, on Xbox, that was loaded with extra game modes, improvements, and unlock-ables. It was just missing a making of DVD and it would have been the go to example of what a special edition re release should be, still it was close.
I'm also a big fan of alternate covers, and have gotten my hands on a couple for my own games to be switched out into.
These covers.. not so much..
I actually can't stop laughing at Metal Black. That's the silliest thing I've seen all day. Makes me almost want to play it.
I couldn't resist.
Why is it called the Vic Viper/Warp Rattler? Because the Options trail behind it in a serpent-like fashion, and the iconic front fins are designed to invoke the image of a snake's fangs.
