Days everything goes wrong

Anyone recently had one of these?

I was playing Ketsui which I quite regularly can reach Evaccanner but today oh boy I played the damn game for 3 hours straight but I did not even reach the stage 4 boss, I kept screwing up massively in the earlier stages. So I switched to Battle Garegga where I can reach glowsquid but I kept screwing up against Black Heart MK1 I ended up being pissed and just quit for the day.


What a terrible day.

Yes it does happen to me sometimes but usually its not shmup related. As for shmups there are those times too, in fact like yesterday. I am not very good to begin with but then i felt alert and was doing good navigating through tough spots at Zanac Neo. However i continuously died at the most stupid places, like that lone bullet out of nowhere.

Usually when I playing a shmup session Ill die lots of stupid deaths in stage 1 before I get into the groove, (although other times its the other way around where my best runs is my 1st or 2nd attempts) sometimes I cant get into the groove and start getting frustrated at my inability. Mostly due to me often feeling tired and feeling slightly drained recently (probably just the winter blues) my concentration levels are low which is making me have too many of these bad days which sucks for my mars matrix 1CC attempt and wanting to move onto different shmups

Still the time im spending shmupping isnt totally a waste though as Ill pratice instead of play full runs. And thanks to Proms Jam guide Im trying to be more focussed and efficent in how i go about it so it doesnt feel like im banging my head against a wall which is usually how I feel like in my pratice sessions

Die as in lose a single ship? Or die as in need to continue? Either way I'm guessing Rayxanber II has never made you it's bitch

I'm one of those people that has super natural runs that are the exception. Therefore if I die early on I just think i'm having a normal day instead of a super natural one.

I play shmups to see if i can surprise myself really. I don't put too much weight into the thought of consistency. Simply because in the shmup world I'm hardly consistant.

The earlier you restart the less time you've wasted imo.

Heh...I'm with you ritchie Most of the time I pretty much suck and then once in a while....BAM...I just BLOW through a game. Not the harder ridiculous stuff, but usually the older mid 90s stuff.
