Good iOS games

Post by Cthulhu »

I've had an iPhone for a while, and I'm guessing that a good amount of people here (now that Christmas is over) might have a new iPhone or iPad. Let's get some good games lists going!

Here's my starter list:

Really good:

Dark Nebula
Dark Nebula 2
Dodonpachi Resurrection
Hook Worlds
Rolando
Angry Birds (*sigh* -- yeah, I really like it)
Net Jankyo HD (Japanese language strongly recommended - Mahjong game with little hand-holding)
Cut the Rope (easy but really fun)

Decent:

Mushihimesama Bug Panic
Metal Gear Solid Touch
Castlevania Puzzle
Super Monkey Ball
Zenonia (would be great but has some control issues)
Sword of Fargoal
Super Mega Worm
Edge

I just bought Infinity Blade and Rage HD but haven't gotten to play them yet.

Cool thread. I'll have to check some of these out. I really have no idea what to buy :(

I've been enjoying Canabalt (jumpy flash port), Solilpskier (score attack skiing game) and Dead Runner (which feels to me a little like a 1st person danmaku game). The first two are pretty cheap at the moment, and all have very favourable reviews, if you have no faith in my appraisals.

How are the controls for Secret of Mana? I love the game (of course), but I'm a little worried about how it'll play after the controls dampened my enjoyment of Zenonia a lot. With SoM being $9 I'm being cautious.

Pretty easy to get used to, once you work out the shortcuts.
Also, jailbreak. ^_- (Been playing Chrono Trigger with the SNES ADX emulator.)
