JAPAN - SLAVE
Icarus - 100,706,660 - ALL - Slave (Judge Spear) - ICR - Arcade (MAME)
<IN-PLAY SNAPS> <HS TABLE>

Made a small mess of the last two bosses, but just scraped through to the All Clear.
Personal limit is around the 105mil mark, with extended milking cycles.
Once I get my capture stuff sorted out, I'll record a replay. I'll keep practicing until then, then move to the Fairy and Flying Ray.

Hey, it's miles better than that twitchy piece of shit Judge Spear

Trying for the loop (or ALL if I switch to Japan) but I haven't got the last boss learned properly yet. I can get most of his initial patterns down, but his last form spreads are going to need some study. If can start reaching him with a life in stock and a bomb or two I may a have a fighting chance, just need to stop dying on the stage 6 boss and stop running into invisi-bullets on stage 5.

That "twitchy piece of shit" has the best bomb in the game. ^_-

Yeah, the sky fleet stage has some pretty hard-to-spot bullets, and takes one life from me occasionally. If anything, the Sand Lobster stage is my most hated, as there are a lot of sniper points that need to be learned there. The point where the second miclus appears is a particular problem area.

For Red Eye's final form, you should aim to have at least two bombs in reserve.

1) When the boss shifts into it's final form, wait for a second before it fires its first pattern (the bullet ripple) and drop a bomb right on top of the turret that fires it, behind the cockpit of the craft. This should null both spreads.

2) Quickly move to the left side of the screen, and wait for the trapping attack. Wait until the left stream almost hits you, then quickly move away to make it stop in position. Quickly do the same to lure the right stream to fire straight downwards, and scratch up against the right stream to avoid the spread attack.

3) After the trap vulcan is finished, quickly get up to pointblank the cockpit, and wait for the spinning attack to start. Wait a second or two until the attack starts to speed up, then drop a bomb right on top of it. You should hopefully destroy it at this point if you keep point-blanking the boss.

Here's a quick clip of me taking on Red Eye at speed. You can milk the second form for a lot more points, but here I decided to go for a quickish kill.

Good luck. ^_-

Nice one mate, good safe spot for the messy spam pattern as well.

That bomb does look quite meaty, but I just can't handle the speed of the Judge Spear unfortunately

Here's my non-slave ALL. After RFJ, RF2 is refreshingly simple. I got every miclus... I think. Lost my medal chain twice though. Two deaths, first to the train level, second to the TLB itself. I'll get to work on RF1 now, I think. I've only played it for a little while so it should keep me busy for a fair amount of time.

Victory. I think this is my first "full" 1cc, actually (not counting batrider/bakraid normal).
Missed some Micluses on the train, and the end of stage 7 was messy. I can do a little better, and maybe graze, though that way lies madness.
