I might try Puchi Carat. Didn't the PSX version come out in the US?

Just EU & JP. But you can get it on the Taito Legends Vol 2.

To anyone who's interested. It's by no means or in any way a complete list, but maybe it'll help someone who's interested. :)

Shatter seems to slow down on my PC when the screen's swarming with fragments. Does it do so by design? The performance looked the same to me in 640x480 as it was in 1600x1200. No antialiasing.

It's interesting that the Taito Legends 2 PS2 version of Puchi Carat has a speed up button. Makes me wonder if that game was a port rather than emulation.

In other words, is the apparent slowdown in Shatter deliberate ("controlled"), or it's just my computer?

Metal Orange EX on X68000. Best game of the genre.

The Gradius style power-up system takes out so much of the random bull this genre is typically plagued with.

Metal Orange is siiiiiiiiiick! Fun fact: I believe I actually used to listen to some of your x68k music for it at work on the YouTubes.

If anyone has a Windows Phone, check out "Fantasy Breaker"

Very imaginative take on the breakout genre, featuring a castles and knights concept.
Neat graphics and fun gameplay round it all out.
