Help for NEW DELTA 32 /Taito Vewlix

Post by missjumjum »

Hello.
I consider myself a NEW DELTA 32 or to order TAITO VEWLIX.
But I think no one new has delta32 and STG plays on it.
I hope it gives someone here who can say anything to the new Delta 32, which is good and what is bad.
I think the Vewlix is better than the recommended 32 for STG but what would you give me.
Thanks for an answer.
At the moment the New Delta is very affordable.
We can offer you New Delta 32 at about $ 1.506 (128,000 JPY) / EX WORKS.

sorry about the german. i can add a rough translation if necessary. i basically told him that i wouldn't get a widescreen cab for the more traditional games. told him to get a naomi universal cab instead and chop the legs.

never seen one anywhere before. They look interesting though. To be honest the whole quality stands or falls with the upconverter board they're using. The Youtube videos aren't good enough the determine the quality of the upconversion. One note though: if you plan on using something with scanline emulation (either a XRGB or the new SLG3000) you're run into problems with both the NEW DELTA and the VEWLIX since both use 768p displays and those are really bad for upscaling "scanlin'ed" images.

By using one of those cool viletim's Scart to Jamma adapters, hooking up an Xbox 360 (via Scart cable setup) to a true low resolution 15kHz arcade monitor looks pretty good considering that you'll be running the console's output in 640 x 480 interlaced format. If you attempt to play those widescreen 720p endowed Xbox 360 based games using this particular setup, you'll get a letterboxed display with black bar borders on both the top and bottom sections of the arcade monitor. Of course, this is using one of those dedicated CRT-based arcade monitors & not an LCD-based monitor.

You could go the VGA route with an Ultracade UVC device wired up to a 56-pin Jamma fingerboard + Xbox 360 console + 360 VGA cable setup but the resolution would still be at 640 x 480 interlaced format (if using a low-res 15kHz CRT-based arcade monitor setup).
