Hello,
Bit of an issue here,
I want to play my PS2 games however I no longer have a CRT TV with RGB scart connection, all I have is a HD samsung LCD monitor. The monitor has hdmi, dvi and vga ports but no RGB scart. I have a pal PS3 slim connected however it doesn't support PS2 titles.
Should I buy a Pal 60gb PS3 at £140 and lose out on my memory card data or source an adaptor or new screen with scart connection?
I have 5 Ps2 RPGs to beat, must get it done.
Regards
D

You could get a Component cable for it along with an upscaler such as the HD Box Pro and get good results at a low price. Or does this TV have Component input as well?

Problem is that the VGA input on the LCD probably doesn't support 50Hz signals, so would need to got for a HDMI upscaler instead. I'd buy some external device before going for a 60GB PAL PS3....

PS2 support on the PS3 is naff. I have a PAL unit myself and a few games screw up such as Crazy Taxi (HUD glitches on and off tons - headache) and SvC Chaos which just basically freezes up in game.

An LCD TV with RGB scart input is most likely I think, pity everything will look shit on it compared to my old CRT though. New isn't always better with hardware.
