I'm tremendously interested in this monitor, due to it's 1ms response time.
Does perform as it says? Anyone got their hands on one, or have read gamer's reviews?
Samsung P2770FH- 1ms- anyone tested this out?

About the only bad thing i've read about it, is some of them won't turn off, and you have to unplug them. Dumb, but I guess I could just return it if I got one of those(or get Samsung to fix it). 1ms is pretty damn good, for a 27 inch.

I'd prefer a monitor with a 30ms response time with zero lag over a display with a 1ms response and possibly 1-2 frames of lag. If response time is important to you, get a plasma. They've basically got zero ms response time.

like the man said, response time ain't no lag.
One day the time of crt will come to an end. But that is not this day!

30ms is pretty terrible still. I wouldn't like a monitor with that, considering there are much better alternatives that won't drive you nuts when doing simple gaming (MAME or FPS).Fudoh wrote:I'd prefer a monitor with a 30ms response time with zero lag over a display with a 1ms response and possibly 1-2 frames of lag. CRT anyway.

No 60Hz LCD can ever replace a CRT. Even a 120Hz LCD isn't a perfect replacement, but it's a big improvement over any 60Hz LCD. It lets you do things like this:
