The Pre-order updates thread! (Region free crap welcome too)
Re: The Pre-order updates thread! (Region free crap welcome too)
But from VGI you won't have to pay toll+taxes if/when you get stung by customs.

True. I've been lucky in that regard so far since I didn't get taxed on Futari or Galuda II (both from PA).
Re: The Pre-order updates thread! (Region free crap welcome too)
i get hit by customs for more or less anything i import so it's probably about the same price to get it from vgi, and next day delivery instead of play asia's ridiculous month-long delivery times ain't bad neither. cool site!
and its good for a laugh sometimes to peruse the lineup of £300 custom sticks (with wood finish, as well as wood start and wood middle)

Re: The Pre-order updates thread! (Region free crap welcome too)
This is why I'm really glad I chose Priority Mail over UPS. The last time I used UPS for a package coming from only an hour away, they delayed it over "adverse weather conditions" because of snow that didn't even stick. If only schools were like that when I was younger...NCSX wrote:X360 DoDonPachi Daifukkutsu 1.5 Arrival
The regular and limited editions of DDPD 1.5 are on the truck and arriving today. We're trying to figure out if UPS will even pick up this afternoon since they're operating on a half-day schedule due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Please note however that if UPS picks up, they'll only pick up air packages since they're not moving any Ground packages today.
C'mon USPS! If all goes well I should be getting mine tomorrow.
Edit: Just got a shipping confirmation email from NCSX! Looks like everything is going as scheduled.
Re: The Pre-order updates thread! (Region free crap welcome too)
Videogameimports have posted out all DFK orders... Here's hoping for tomorrow.

Re: The Pre-order updates thread! (Region free crap welcome too)
Probably going to be Tuesday for me since I'm going with UPS Ground and I don't expect them to get those out before Monday.
EDIT: Wait, just got a Stamps.com email notice that NCS shipped me something via USPS Media Mail. I ordered DFK via UPS Ground so it's more likely this is Shooting Gameside, but there's no change to my order status on the website and I didn't receive any email from NCS themselves confirming what this mystery package is...
EDIT2: Confirmed the package is indeed Shooting Gameside.

Yeah, I also got notifications for both DDP DFK and Shooting Gameside. Although they are both under the same umbrella, it's funny because I ordered DDP under Media Mail and Shooting Gameside under Priority Mail. Seems it's Priority for everything now! Hope it comes tomorrow! Usually does and this just makes me happy with why I always choose USPS! ^_^

Are the two tracking numbers the same? I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't just put both in one box.Blue_Ray wrote:Yeah, I also got notifications for both DDP DFK and Shooting Gameside. I did a double take at first, but yep, same number alright!StarCreator wrote:Are the two tracking numbers the same? Edit: Didn't show today, so it'll come Monday. Although I'm moving soon, so the chance I get to play probably won't be till next weekend! Hence why I wanted it today! >_<
Re: The Pre-order updates thread! (Region free crap welcome too)
Not only Play-Asia, but AmiAmi is also taking pre-orders for MMP & PS with a much better price:
Regular Edition: http://www.amiami.jp/shop/?set=english& ... splay.html
5840 Yen = U$69,70
Limited Edition: http://www.amiami.jp/shop/?set=english& ... splay.html
7550 Yen = U$90,12
As oposed to U$79,90 for RE and U$119,90 for the LE at Play-Asia
I've already pre-ordered my RE at AmiAmi

NCS is one of the few (only?) import game companies that automatically does due diligence and combines orders to save you on shipping. Probably one of their biggest conveniences.Blue_Ray wrote:Yeah, I also got notifications for both DDP DFK and Shooting Gameside. As for AmiAmi, how are they with pre-order bonuses (when not explicitly mentioned in the description)? I'm not sure it applies to this particular collection (unless the DLC card will only be on pre-order print) but I've always been curious and have yet to get a straight answer. As is, I only tend to pre-order games with known bonus items elsewhere out of fear I'll miss out.

My copy of 1.5 still isn't here and I just found out why.
Parcelforce opened it up and had a look at it, turns out it's not a bomb, and they're sending it tomorrow.
And for this they charged me twenty nine goddamn pounds. At the very least the online form should contain a box for you to list any insults you want forwarded on. TWENTY NINE FOR RANDOMLY OPENING AND DELAYING SOMETHING.

Re: The Pre-order updates thread! (Region free crap welcome too)
I'm excited about this, especially that it's a double release! Great news for everybody that's on board with a 360, you get the game without any of the localisation hassle/waiting and waiting. Order up folks! These will be the good old days at some point, so even if you are backloged it'll be worth it to stock up to have something fresh to play in the future. I can't help but hope that this may also sway the release of Bullet Soul. Now with the xbla games in the pipeline, no body can really argue against the 360 being the greatest shmup platform ever! You can only justify your personal taste in games for choosing a past console.

VGI expects to open their pre-orders for the MMP/PS pack pretty soon: http://www.videogameimports.com/sw_news.php?id=154#154

Re: The Pre-order updates thread! (Region free crap welcome too)
And, for those of us waiting for NCS, here's their blurb on the subject:
NCS wrote:Cave recently announced the Japanese Xbox 360 release of Muchi Muchi Pork & Pink Sweets on one DVD. Preorders haven't started with Japanese suppliers yet but NCS expects them to open up within the next week or so. In the meantime, Makoto Asada of Cave spoke to Kotaku and confirmed that the game will be region-free and playable on North American Xbox 360 consoles. The games will be direct arcade-to-home ports but will feature special arrange modes and online leaderboards.
Re: The Pre-order updates thread! (Region free crap welcome too)
For gods sake don't order anything via airmail from Play-Asia around November/December. My 360 Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu was sent on the 25th of November and the tracking says:
The item (RB********HK) will leave Hong Kong for its destination on 9-Dec-2010
I guess its cheap for a two week holiday in Hong Kong.

Re: The Pre-order updates thread! (Region free crap welcome too)
I remember when I ordered my brother a copy of Futari last Christmas. It took a solid 3 weeks to get here. Go go holidays.
Re: The Pre-order updates thread! (Region free crap welcome too)
Muchi Muchi Pork & Pink Sweets are up for preorder at NCSX.

Re: The Pre-order updates thread! (Region free crap welcome too)
Just a quick question, isn't Otemidius Excellent also available for pre-order? Or is that just gamestop being stupid and selling pre-orders before an official release is announced?
According to their pre-order book, Otemidius Excellent is coming out January 2nd in the states.
Also, no Mushi Futari on that list? xD

Just pre-ordered my copies of MMP and Pink Sweets

So far Play-Asia has the Japanese version listed as TBA. The US release...I don't think it's happening....not in January at least!dunpeal2064 wrote:Just a quick question, isn't Otemidius Excellent also available for pre-order? Re: The Pre-order updates thread! (Region free crap welcome too)
That depends on how much you paid. The price dropped so low, so fast after release that I feel ripped off having preordered an LE.
