I say more cool stuff instead of OSTs. I want faceplates, or mini posters, or body pillows with the pork girls.

OSTs are so good, though. Especially the arrange albums. Dai-fukkatsu arrange album so good

Yeah, OSTs are definitely groovy material, but let me rephrase that and say as well as...

Kid you've clearly never own a US Agarest War LE. That shit is light enough to count as paperstock. The Cave LEs seem solid if you keep the cd case inside them.

Not to mention the fact that the mousepad and crap didn't actually fit in the box, so every single Limited Edition package was bent out of shape and creased in some way :?

Damn, that's a shame. I actually have it coming in the mail...bent boxes make me angry!

Agarest is terrible. I don't know why I spent so much time with it.

I actually received mine in perfect shape, but that doesn't make up for how much I hate this game.

Anyway yeah, Cave LEs are irritating. I ended up buying 2 copies of Daifukkatsu, 1 LE and 1 SE.

I just wish they all came like Ketsui's LE.

It will arrive in good shape, but will start expanding as soon as you remove the shrink wrap. At least that's what happened in my case. The inside divider was torn off when I first opened it. Absolutely shit packaging. Pretty shit game too, if i'm honest. Unless you like massively imbalanced gameplay and grinding. Then I wish you the best as you spend hours jerking away in the grass.

I have to say these are the exact reasons why I avoid limited editions, if the boxes break then you will never be able to replace it hence why I prefer regular edition.

also many times the "limited" edition is not so limited at all I remember Star Ocean 4 Limited Edition went for 15 euros here while the Regular sold for 40.

True, but every now and then you get an MSG3: Subsistance and those LEs are definitely worth it.

True, and this is generally why I avoid them as well, although some (like the Metal Gear Solid 4) LE have amazing boxes, as far as durability is concerned.

God I can still walk into the Walmart by my house and find Limited Editions for tons of games that came out years ago. They must still have 30 Limited Editions in the glass case for Soul Calibur 4 alone

PSP LE games tend to have the flimsiest cases from my experience. They look nice but are often so hollow, they bend easily.

Amongst recent LE/CE cases, Gran Turismo 5's is horrid. Some clueless designer/manufacturer made it so the top flap encasing the Kyosha toy car case doesn't clear the top of the car box. And since the encasing is so snug, chances are you have to bend the box backward to take the toy car case out. All they had to do to eliminate this issue was make the top flap as long as the bottom flap.

Yeah, the Walmart by me still has Limited Edition copies of Call of Duty: World at War on the shelf

The only time I buy a LE of a game is when it includes enough bonuses that interest me, or if I really want to support that particular game. The recent Ys releases on PSP come to mind, I gladly shelled out the extra money for the LEs on those simply because I want to support more Ys games coming to the US.

Cave Games - For collectings sake
Forza/GT5 - I like the books
Aksys Games - I really want to support them and the price is right

Aside form those three I've had little reason to purchase an LE in some time. Kind of want the Halo Reach Legendary edition when it comes down because the fgures are cool. But that's about it.

I'm sure someone here will hate me for this, but I've thrown out the flimsy outer case for a few of the limited sets I got. I put the CD on one of the CD shelves and the game on a game shelf.

I thought about this when someone said they buy the standard release to avoid the cardboard. I mean you still get the regular DVD and CD cases too.

PS2's LE for Mush-Sama was good. Had a nice cardboard box that was solid. Wish the 360 had solid Box like that.

LE games should be packed in a collector's tin if you're going to pay over a hundred bucks- like what Activision did with Call of Duty: World at War for its USA LE version.
Kinect? KIN NOT.
