Shmups meet Manchester/ northwest UK... interested??

Hello everyone!!!
After having such a ball at replay, thought it might be fun to try and organise a meet up.
I was thinking probably manchester but any other suggestions would be welcome.
A good venue I think would probably be the function room of a pub or something similar (bar is essential I think!!)
Probably more console based than cabs but if anyone feels they could bring one, great!!
Was thinking early next year so if anyone is interested give me a shout...

I already goto the gaming night at the Lass O'Gowrie in Manchester http://www.thelass.co.uk/ on the last Tuesday of the month. They fill the "snug" with consoles/tv's. Good beer too They also have an R-type cab there on freeplay

A specific shmup meetup would be good though if there is enough interest.

Yeah, there hasn't been much interest in the past really, most people seem to be around the London area, but I'm all for making meets.

I'm a busy bastard, so it depends on the timing, but I'd love to come and join in. Who know - you might even get a couple more from London if you pop a mention in the Casino thread!

Hehe I'm happy with anything. Yeah I mentioned it a couple of times in the past, but I know almost everyone, well at the time live in London It'd be nice to have you come up though!

If there is a demand, I'd like to do something like every month, or every 3 months, it's much better having other people playing the same games, I have almost everything 360 and PS1/2-wise.

I'd be up for it, though I only really play older shmups.

Maybe up for hosting, I live near Leigh, got 2 cabs (and a pinball) and PCBs inc. R-Type, Slap Fight, Twin Cobra, Flying Shark, Detana TwinBee, FixEight, Hellfire, etc.

Edit: otherwise the Lass O'Gowrie pub as suggested, they've quite a few cabs & cocktails in.
