I believe there is one, somewhere earlier in this topic. Not sure what page though.

hmm... managed to 1cc the game, which says to me that yeah, this game is really easy. But that said, it is fun as hell. Dicked around with Arrange A for a little bit and that was pretty cool, from what I played.

I really like the stage 5 and non-true last boss theme, and the other songs are very consistient and seem to suit the game well. I also like how it changes to a different version when you go through the alternate route in a stage. The only song that I dislike is the one for TLB.
DDP daiffuk's OST is in my opinion one of the best cave's ost ever, only equaled by Ketsui's ost. Everytime I hear the legato lead in level 4's track I go fucking crazy (1.10 and 3.10) .

Well just from playing it for a bit....as for power mode (all i have played in 1.51 so far)

Hyper and normal/boost switch are on the same button (tap for normal/boost switch hold for hyper)

Also, chaining is a bit more forgiving when having a full hyper.

hyper lasts longer,maybe?

This is just from several go arounds

I know this has probably been discussed so just trying to be a good neighbor.

1.51 is probably my favorite so far. (play arrange A if you like to feel cool and enjoy giant chains)

EDIT: Bombs don't drop chain in 1.51?
EDIT 2: 1.51 FUCKIN LAZERS!!! will follow you around the stage when hypering. keep laser on beam (don't kill laser unless necessary )and use shot intermittently to cancel bullets that are almost killing you for big chains.

After getting fed up with spinning lasers in Stage 5 I decided to try novice mode, easily 2-Alled it on my first try. Here is the interesting thing, I wanted to save my replay but wasn't given the choice because when I went into options "replay save" was off, but after I turned it on I was able to save my replay which surprised me. Overall I found Novice to be much more exciting than in previous games, maybe because the 2nd loop was intense without being frusterating. Final score was 43bil and got a mess load of achievements.

Good times! :D

Getting the hang of Arrange-A, still though, those damn spinning lasers

Yeah, the slowdown is fuckin' hilarious, too. I definitely wanna spend some more time with that mode before I move on to Arrange A... and Arrange B if I can figure that the fuck out.

I kept calling it the Psychic Laser Section, but it hasn't caught on. I'm so uncool.

In the second part just stay to the right then tap left as it scrolls downwards, and in the third section I just stay at the top, hyper, and run through everything to the bottom right where it's safer. It's the main reason I stick to the Bomb modes instead of Power, but I think when I get the port and training mode I'm going to grow a pair.

Has anyone heard the unused tracks on the game disc? Can anyone confirm that they are different from both the DO-DON-PACHI DAI-FUKKATSU ARRANGE ALBUM (the OST that comes with the LE) and the DO-DON-PACHI DAI-FUKKATSU BLACK LABEL Original Sound Track?

I posted a while back that it's the Black Label soundtrack. My fault for not recognizing it at first.

Does anyone know how the bomb multiplier is applied in 1.51? Is it just applied to everything while you have it? I'm talking about the xY next to the bomb stock where Y = the number of bombs you've picked up over MAX.
If you can already get a x20 part way through stage 3, that seems to be way more important than the chain.

I was wondering the same thing. And how does it increase, exactly?

ED: Ah, I see. The number increases when you get a Bee. I guess you have to have a bomb in stock, though.

There's four, including the iPhone soundtrack, with three of them being used in-game.

Honestly, I don't think the arrange CD that came with the LE would be very gameworthy.

Are the route achievements glitched in this game? I had to enter the secret route on stage 1 in 1.5 at least three times before that achievement showed up, and now it won't give me the one for entering the secret route in Arrange A, even though I've been there several times...
So, are we expected to turn our TV on its side?!

Are you restarting? Once you restart a level, all achievements will lock up.

Ok this arrange soundtrack is just bizarre, but I kind of like it. More like a true arrangement of the music, rather than just a remix. The soft piano version of Resurrection is even more beautiful than the original track.

Yeah, that'll be it. I didn't think that restarting on stage 1 would have any effect on achievements. Looks like I have to use "return to title" if I mess up on entering the secret route... :(

At least with Bomb type, if you pick up a bee when it's green you'll get an extra bomb/+1 to your multiplier if your stock is full. I haven't been using the other types as much.

So I've spent some good time with Arrange A mode now, and it is now my favorite mode of the three. Hell, I think this is my favorite mode out of any game Cave has yet made.

It's got alot of the difficulty that 1.5 is lacking, plus a most excellent scoring system, which seems to revolve around the idea of going into Hyper, letting as many bullets as possible onto the screen while chaining them, and only switching to boost when you're certain you cant dodge what's about to hit you. Too much boost hypering seems to result in less points (not to mention it kills the hell outta things really fast, stopping them from producing more bullets). I love this idea; you CAN cancel bullets like in the other mode, but it rewards you more for trying your best to dodge them as they become increasingly numerous.

I also like that the scoring isnt so much about keeping the chain going, as it is about how much you can add to it.

I also notice that the bees seem to be worth huge amounts of points in this mode, depending on how much chain you've got going.

Brilliant overall, in my opinion.

I'll try out 1.51 a bit later; after I've spent some time with that one, I'll see if I cant write up a guide for all of this to compile all of the info about this game.

So that's how you 1CC this game...

How does the difficulty of 1.5 compare to Black Label? Has anyone here played both PCBs? I'm still on the fence about whether to get my own copy of this release or wait for the Ketsupachi disc. If Black Label is much harder than 1.5, I'll probably just get this and actually play Ketsui for my Ketsui fix.

Yep, you're the only sane person in a forum full of crazy people. Not even one of the modes did anything for you? The only way I could see someone not like the game at all is if they just don't like Cave games, esp. their newer stuff in general.

Where are the 4 arrange soundtracks?

1. Black Label
2. iPhone
3. LE Arrange CD
4. ???

Well, I love Futari, EspGaluda II, and DeathSmiles...so, I dunno, this just didn't do it for me. I guess it's one of those things.

Unfortunately even with the best of games, not everyone is gonna like it.

I normally love Cave games myself, but every now and then, for me, there's a dud.

DOJ being the biggest example, I pretty much never touch that one... EspGaluda 2, I really, really hate Arcade mode (the scoring system is the problem here, mostly) , and probably wouldnt play it much at all if it wasnt for Black Label mode. Deathsmiles I lost interest in entirely once I 1cc'ed it, since the scoring seemed dull and uninteresting (the sequel though, I love that one), and Ibara is.... Ibara.

So yeah, aint gonna like 'em all.

I'm not really enjoying myself either, so don't feel too bad. 1.5 scoring in Power style confuses and frustrates the hell out of me. I'm going to give the other modes a good try as well, but right now I'm not too pleased.
