I think if we keep this PG-13 (er...), it should be a safe thread, eh? Just don't describe in explicit details how that one girl/guy hybird was *bleep* by that mecha-horse with a *beeps* coming out of its *beep*. Fair enough?

Anyway, I was playing some Night Slave the other night and was like "huh, what good hentai games are there out there?" I'm not talking just shmups like Steam Hearts (which rules), but I mean anything that I can play. BUT, if it is text heavy, I'm only interested if it has english subs. Contemplating buying the Bible Black game, because, yeah, I'm going there. So yeah, help me scrape the bottom of the proverbial hentai barrel and let's get into ALL aspects of gaming here.

Find Love on ST-V is my favourite, although I don't play too many of them

Sexy Beach 3 isnt too bad, its the only hentai game I have played so can't say I am much of a expert. It has solid graphics as it came out in around 2006. Its not the most interactive, but is a solid title. I have heard AG3 is good but have not played it.

Pretty much the only H-game I played to the end is Desire, though it left a very good impression on me. It's a very linear visual novel but it has a cool plot as far as H-games go. Other C'sWare-developed visual novels also have pretty good reputations, notably Gloria, Divi-Dead, and the EVE series. Not sure if this company is still around... but you should be able to check some trailers on YouTube at least for the newer EVE games - very stylish.

Keep in mind these games are utterly ancient, I'm not even sure they will run on XP. I was running on Windows 2000 when I played these games. Some of the EVE games were ported to PS1/PS2 (with the naughty bits edited), but you won't find those in English.

edit: I should add Kana - Little Sister as another well-reviewed visual novel from around that time (or a bit earlier). Totally forgot about that. I only thought it was alright, but others have praised it more.

I am also partial to Pia Carrot 3 but I can't really explain why since there isn't really anything that sets it apart from the hundreds of other H-games that are released all the time.

The Illusion games are quite poorly programmed. They are CG and not really my cup of tea.

I "play" a lot of visual novels. Sengoku Rance has decent gameplay for eroge and is a widely enjoyed game. Muv-Luv Alternative has a translation in the works now and is supposed to be an amazing VN. But yeah, Sengoku Rance and Big Bang Age have decent gameplay. Well I havent played BBA but Ive heard a lot of good things.

As for straight up VNs, YMK: A drug that makes you Dream is a good place to start. The Type-Moon stuff is great as well (Fate/Stay Night and Tsukihime). Swan Song is pretty good, but really depressing at one end in particular (seriously fucking depressing). Cross Channel is a great VN as well.

A lot of VNs have h content but aren't exactly eroge. There are nukige VNs too that are basically outright porn with little story.

All of these are translated.
Oh, there is also Lightning Warrior Raidy 1 & 2. It is like a dungeon crawling lesbian RPG. Sengoku Rance blows it away though IMO.

Swan Song is pretty good. As I said, it is pretty depressing. Explores themes like what people will stoop to when trying to engage with tragedy and disaster. Well worth playing.

A lighter but also depressing "game" is Kira Kira. Fuck, the Kirari route. The ending. It fucked with my head pretty hard

I may as well mention, the second Bible Black is supposed to be out soon (transalated), but it seems like it has been put off the last two months. I believe the title is Bible Black: Infection. No idea when it will be getting released now.

Yeah, I kinda wanted to try Swan Song on the fact that you said it was so depressing. I enjoy depressing games, because there aren't enough of them.

I'm actually watching a Bible Black on ebay right now, so hopefully I can pick that up.
