Does such a thing as 360 to PS2 controller converter exist? I would love to use my arcadestick with my PS2 also,If not is there perhaps a tutorial for creating one myself?
Thanks in advance

they exist, and there are a few threads about them in this hardware forum.Zeron wrote:Does such a thing as 360 to PS2 controller converter exist? I would love to use my arcadestick with my PS2 also,If not is there perhaps a tutorial for creating one myself?

Re: 360 to PS2 controller converter
Are you sure? There's plenty of solutions from PS2 to 360, but as far as I know the reverse isn't true (and is in fact much, much more difficult and problematic).antron wrote:they exist, and there are a few threads about them in this hardware forum.Zeron wrote:Does such a thing as 360 to PS2 controller converter exist? IMO, the best way to make an arcade stick work with both platforms is to add a PS2 PCB to an existing 360 stick. Unfortunately, this is generally only possible with sticks using MadCatz PCBs as Microsoft and Hori 360 PCBs aren't common ground.
Re: 360 to PS2 controller converter
ooh, my bad. I should have read the initial post more carefully.
Re: 360 to PS2 controller converter
I got a bunch of PS2 pads and a Mayflash PS2 stick(failed experiment but PCB is fine and dandy)
Is it a lost cause or can I perhaps build something like a converter out of it?

Re: 360 to PS2 controller converter
You wouldn't be able to make a converter without a way to interpret the USB signaling from your 360 PCB (something that I'm pretty sure only exists on the 360 itself or a PC), but if the PCB in your 360 stick is common ground, you could make your stick dual-PCB and just have both leads coming out of it. As I said, this is usually done with MadCatz's 360 PCBs as Hori's 360 PCBs aren't common ground.

I do have a 360 Madcatz TE stick, there should be enough room for another pcb right?

Indeed, there are a LOT of guides on the internet for dual-modding a TE. The basics of dual-modding are shown well here - it's a lot of work but if you really want just one stick, it might be worth it. In theory, your Mayflash PCB should work well - you'd only need the main PCB, not the daughter PCB the stock rubber membrane buttons need to actuate.
