There was no port and the game is unemulated in MAME. It is not a wonder considering how messy the PCB is.phobos wrote:is their a port of this game anywhere?...i can't seem to find a working MAME version of it

While it's very cute 'em up looking, I see a lot of 1942 influence with the popcorn enemy formations and flight patterns.

Agreed. Looks like Harmful Park but with huge 1942 influence.twalden wrote:While it's very cute 'em up looking, I see a lot of 1942 influence with the popcorn enemy formations and flight patterns.

Well I checked my rip again, it looks like the stages past 10 are more of the same, so it seems the game loops past there I think. So I will stop ripping videos for this title.
I hope everyone enjoyed the videos, I have some other unemulated/badly emulated games forthcoming like Demon Front.

Thanks very much for the Air Raid captures!
As for next, I'd skip Demon Front, since there is already a good example capture here, unless you can demonstrate how to play it proper by chaining the first stage.

No problemo.
Hm I think I could upload better quality, if he uploaded every stage in the game I might pass on Demon Front though.

Great stuff Arasoi, and amazing to see that mystery 'high voltage' screen.
I've wanted a PCB of this for a long, long time. My quest is made slightly harder by the fact that I confuse this with Irem's Air Duel and Air Assault (the latter of which has a Raiden clone feel if I remember rightly).
In fact, such is my confusion that I can't remember which it is they have at the Trocedero arcade in London. Me and mr_m0nks got into it a while back. It's either Air Raid or Air Assault. My brain is mush.
So mushy that somehow this game dropped of my sig's WTB list and got replaced by Air Duel! Fixed!
EDIT(S): In fact, does anybody know the value of this board? I think there was one on Jamma+ for sale about a year back, but the price slips my mind!

The one they had at the Troc was most definitely Air Assault. (In a cab on the upper floor, near the stairs, IIRC.) Air Duel looks interesting, though.spadgy wrote:In fact, such is my confusion that I can't remember which it is they have at the Trocedero arcade in London. Me and mr_m0nks got into it a while back. Yep - I remembered that late last night actually. So, Air Raid fans, don't go rushing into London!Herr Schatten wrote:The one they had at the Troc was most definitely Air Assault. Though you might have gotten some interesting scenes in the Blitz.spadgy wrote:So, Air Raid fans, don't go rushing into London!
Air Duel is a game I personally like a bit...the aircraft carrier running diagonally across the screen is seen in Fire Barrel as well, of course.
