By the way, what happened to all the videos pending approval? Were they lost?

The site will continue to be up until the end of the year when the hosting plan is up for renewal.

Looks like crithit5000 hasn't been on in five months. Not a good sign. :(

I'd rather not have this expire and would be willing to setup a dedicated VM on my server(s) to host this data. Space isn't an issue, but I only have a 50/10 connection. So, torrent's and direct links for those who don't wish to use torrents or can't.

Update on this:
1) rjpageuk was gracious enough to open up his data for me for download
2) I've pulled the website (forum/etc), sql data for videos
3) Am currently downloading all the videos
4) Expect a new site with vids to download/upload/etc. 8)

I've got around a dozen "unposted" uploads that I'll have to figure out who's what on that yet.

Awesome! Will the videos be available for direct download, as with the original site, or are you aiming for a different distribution system?

Yeah, why not just put them on some free hosting site like Megaupload? Would be a hell of a lot cheaper for bandwidth and there wouldn't be any worry if something like this happens again.

Lol, no, definitely not Megaupload. Some videos would exceed the maximum size anyway.

I was thinking of torrenting (in which case I could mirror the archive entirely on my always-on system), or a combination of torrenting with (possibly limited) DDL.

First priority is to get all the data of course. :) Data collection should probably be complete by the end of this weekend. Then to get a new website up with all videos/users indexed/displayed. Direct downloads, torrent and I was thinking of making a superplay channel on Youtube and uploading there as well. And should probably r-sync with sumone for off-site backup. :)

Lol, I wouldn't say that. Anyways, I should have all the data grabbed.

Depending how much time I have over the next days/week, it should be "live" again.

Resurrection! And it appears just in time as co.uk is now page-placed/expired.

http://www.super-play.info

I seem to have "lost" a dozen or so submissions in the move. Either I was a boob and overlooked them or they were on a different server.....or simply didn't exist.

Posted a few "new" vids and reactivated a few that were disabled for whatever reason.

Please note the ftp upload is user/pass protected but can be seen on the faq to stop the script kiddies. :) I setup a dedicated torrent tracker and will be posting torrents over the next few weeks I'd imagine after I get a few issues sorted. Code tweaks will be forthcoming as well.

Many thanks for all your work spoot. I am trying to set up super-play.co.uk to redirect to super-play.info but for some reason it isnt working properly at the moment.

Some of the super-plays that were disabled were disabled for copyright reasons.

Thanks for giving me access to the data! Redirect most likely won't work as it appears to be officially expired now.

Oh, that's why some got turned off? Oh well, I guess I'll wait for complaints. 8)

Aw great, one of my videos were lost (my Volfied run which was pending approval). This new PC of mine can't record sound so I can't make another video.

Does anyone know the status on this is ?
I would swear I could access the site a few weeks ago but now I can't.

It would be really sad to see such a fine site and collection of superplays to go offline.
Btw, I think the torrent (+ optionnal seedboxes) idea is good, it should reduce bandwidth costs to nothing in comparison.
