Huh, did they already have the location test? Unless I'm reading the dates wrong, it took place in August?

They did. I played it and didn't really care for it but it's kind of neat I guess. Has that Western-shmup geometrical thing going (Americans can only stomach non-FPS shooters that are made of shapes and vector graphics, actual characters and backgrounds are overstimulating and designed to inflame the senses).

A pc game getting an arcade port. that's cool :)

If i'm understanding the pictures on the japanese arcade page correctly you will only be able to fire in one direction in the arcade version? Can someone confirm this?

The game itself seems not to be my cup of tea but that a pc game is getting an arcade port is still interesting.

I'd really like to try it out anyway, looks fun to me and even if there isn't much in the way of color, I like the style.

I hope it gets a 360 port! Success likes to do console ports, so there is a chance.

Release 360? You people aren't happy with having all the big STGs there you wanna steal my precioussss. Gollum, Gollum! :P

This is already for PC, can be purchased via Melonbooks Dojin Broadband Service and DLsite for about 15 bucks, it already has a free multiplayer (up to 16 people if I'm not wrong, although unless you live close to each other like in Japan, the lag will be killer, LAN should be perfect though... errm I'm sure it had LAN, argh, gotta check this) mod called Exception Conflict... Support the author? It might encourage him to update the original version somehow or even reprint it.

You can play the campaign co-op with up to four people (the guy posted a video with this feature, looked pretty sick) and, well, for being epic cubes in cube land firing laz0rs at each other, it's awesome.

Ah, and the music is in ogg format as well. And comes with all the source code ready for modding. There is already someone making Touhou Conflict, a Touhou mod for exception, proving once again everything can be Touhoulised...

Good to hear it's going to the arcades, I was wondering whatever happened to that, especially with i-saint posts being all about C++ and scary code.
