Thanks EOJ.
Glad it's only a very minor issue that you can fix by installing to game to HDD.
Damn I can't wait for this game any longer. Bring it on!

You know, there's a lot of complaining going on here(some of it mine), but since last year, this has been a Cave extravaganza. It's like getting holiday gifts or something. And that'll continue at least until MMP comes out.
Pretty cool, i'd say.
Almost makes me forget that this game has loli-bot bosses. Almost.
Great to have confirmation of the 4:3. Now if we can get a Black Label announcement, all will be well.
Also, any hands on pics of the normal edition of this game? I hate the LE artwork.
I think it's going to be like Mushihime-sama Futari v1.5, in that Black Label will be DLC. If it was included, myabe they would have called it "Black Label" instead of 1.5 (Espgaluda II for instance). That's my IMO though, and I would love to be proved wrong.
In an attempt to help out, a reminder that achievement discussion is in the existing thread in Strategy. nZero already has a preliminary translation of the non-secret achievements up:

I know I'm probably in the minority here, but I rather like them. Felt that DOJs bosses were uninspired compared to DDPs, the loli-mecha are certainly more of a love or hate design.
Anyway, 4:3 fullscreen - hallelujah! I can sleep easy for the next few days, thanks EOJ!

The bosses in DOJ were weak(except the last one). You're absolutely right. But i'm sure you can make cool bosses without resorting to loli-mechs. Oh well, I gotta live with it. lol
The SE cover to me is a bit too simplistic, so I went with the LE one. I don't mind the transformer like bosses it adds something of a changing dynamic to the battle I think. Thing I do miss from doj that isn't in dfk is choosing the elemental doll for the ship(I know they are the bosses this time around, but whats wrong with just making 3 new ones for the style types), just selecting Bomb/Power/Strong feels so flat imo.

Alright! Everything is sunshine and lollipops so long as you install the game to the HDD(who doesn't anyways?).
Indeed, nice that Cave has taken a note from Psikyo here, it adds a nice "OH SHIT!" moment, rather than simply tearing down each section of a boss bit by bit.
Sadly both boxes don't live up to the placeholder mockup, I went with LE because I love the end credits song, and to ensure DLC.
God I can't wait, should arrive friday!

I'm actually going to have to delete something in order to have enough room to install this one on my measly 20gb drive (of which only 11gb or so is actually usable). Probably Deathsmiles IIX.

Pfft, what?
Placing DOJ bosses and 'weak' in the same sentence is a either a blaspheme or a gaffe. Probably both.
You boys clearly been chasing the dragon, either that or the DOJ bosses have been hurting innocent gamers feelings again.
They'd put more bullets in DFK's loli-mechs than ED-209 put in that chap in the boardroom, and all before they could begin to mutter some high pitched schoolyard battle cry.
I believe we were talking in terms of artistic design, they weren't as memorable as DDP's overwhelmingly large sprites. I doubt that anyone would argue that they were easy. Ed209 is my hero.

DOJ's level 3 Floating Turtle-esque Fortress is beyond badass. While I don't think any of the bosses were "weak", Boss 3 makes up for any shortcoming, real or imagined.
My favourite DOJ boss design is the nondescript monotone metal blob with guns.
The transforming loli's are the pilots from DOJ, so if you don't like them try to think of it as additional fan service. You need to prepare for that anyway, when the stage 4 hidden boss came out and the music changed I almost overdosed.
DOJ is way over rated.... hard, but boring and not so fun in the scoring department for me.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?
It looks like this time around we don't have an Arcade mode and we get only the 360 mode. How could have they ditch it??
Ok I gess it is going to be the natural trend for Cave port games now.

I miss the inclusion too for completeness sake but it felt kind of pointless as it usually looked like crap in nearly all monitor usages, even on a tate'd CRT

I feel the same way that's why I complain and though the graphics are upscaled in the 360 mode, arcade mode on a 15Kz CRT looks rather good since I am really used to it.
However EOJ told on his blog that 360 mode is really accurate in terms of slowdown replication so we've got a winner no matter how we look at it.

I'm doing an order of these tonight - Got two people that have paid already with one interested.
If you want to get in on the action, you can paypal me $107 now, then actual shipping costs when I receive them. It'll be a Helluva lot cheaper than NCSX's $126 minimum price, and you'll most likely get your copy faster as well since it's coming direct from Japan to you - rather than from Japan --> NYC --> you.

Just the idea of this has me dropping loads.
That sounds fucking awesome. Hopefully it won't disappoint.
<trap15> I only pick high quality games

You're not affected by the shipping ban to the US?

Surely it's going to weigh less than 16 ounces.

amiami still have their DFK LE's available for cheaper than 107 USD just fyi. They usually bill 1350-1500yen for EMS shipping to the states (depends if this LE will be a single or have two game cases, like the ketsui LE).
NCSX is normally faster if you order the expensive shipping since they usually have the games in stock before its release date, but for this game it doesn't seem to be the case as they've stated.
StarCreator wrote:You're not affected by the shipping ban to the US?
I suppose I'm going out on a limb by assuming this release will weigh less than a pound. 99% of the people that order from me aren't from the US anyhow.

I think it's a bit too soon to say that. I went to the site and attempted to purchase the game and they have this mysterious "handling" fee that they refuse to disclose until it's time to actually pay for the product (which I couldn't purchase yet). The shipping fees are equally cryptic and aren't being disclosed. Maybe tomorrow I can get a straight answer as to what the final price is. In addition to these points, they refuse to mark your purchase as "gift" and therefore you may be subjected to another VAT tax. Anyhow, I registered with the site and put in a pre-order for the game to be shipped to my parents house in Texas. If it ends up being cheaper than what I'm offering I'll lower my price and refund the difference to the people who have paid already.
