Can you please direct me to videos that make the Blue version look like a dumbed down easy mode made for Western audiences? Thanks.
Also, I wouldn't look too much into that chart position. Without actual figures to back it up, it's quite meaningless. There could be a huge gap between what's at the top and what's at number 3. I do hope it's sold well though.

according to the dimensions on their website my 24" 16:10 monitor should fit in tate...
Thx guys, its nice to know for certain, I read on ergotron's website it would fit a 24" but it didnt say if it was widescreen or std so i was alittle unsure.
OT Im pleased Guwange is selling well, still its only its 1st week, the most supprising thing is that the newly released Super Meat Boy is below it and only a couple of places above Plants Vs Zombies, With all the hype thats games had Ild of thought it was the second coming of Jesus Christ.
The second coming of Jesus Christ has got NOTHING on Super Meat Boy. Nothing.
I'm assuming that chart is only based on last weeks sales, in which case it isn't surprising to see Guwange near the top since it already had at least some kind of a fanbase across all regions, many of whom would have made it a first day purchase regardless of the 4:3 debacle.

hasnt everyone so far commented on how much further they get and well they do in blue mode? also kiken posted a vid a couple pages back having already completed it with a decent score .
I'd like to know how the Blue version is supposed to be a "dumbed-down for Western audiences" version, when it was originally made for Japan players only (in the form of a PCB).
I think Blue Arrange is getting confused with 360 Arrange. Pretty sure Kiken's play was on 360 Arrange. Blue Arrange is more like the regular arcade game with some tweaks, but in terms of difficulty it's not that far off. 360 Arrange allows for independent Shiki control and is super easy if you're just playing to 1CC it.

Yep, I know that Blue version is just a slight tweak on the original. That's my point, it's only the 360 Arrange that's easy and could be considered "dumbed-down".
If you want to see how the blue version is, I posted a run on youtube a while back. It's for demonsration purposes only. I score 14mil, not sure If this is decent.
Hopefully they release a patch for this game. I am on a standard def CRT, and the game only uses 3/4 of the screen vertically. If I wanted to play a game with a view area this small, I would @$!@*%! play a Vectrex.
it should really have more/better screen settings options. i mean, who will use some of those "presets" some of them are ridiculous. but i suppose they released it as a budget release for a budget price, so we cant really complain.
i played arcade mode and blue arrange mode a little bit. can anyone tell me what is the difference between the modes? maybe i have embarassed myself but the diffs must be pretty subtle i think.
Killing an enemy in blue arrange cancels all bullets that were once slowed (these flash between blue and pink after being un-slowed), and the later stages/bosses throw some different (usually, but not always, harder) patterns at you.
Ah, right. Makes sense as i think i prefer Blue mode, that is probably why. it seems "cleaner" to me to have the bullets cancelled when an enemy is destroyed. i just couldnt fathom why i preferred this mode.
I have some friends on the leaderboard but most of the time they ain't there, but two of them are always on the leaderboard and it is not because they not are online, it is so annoying
Scores are only posted on the Leaderboards when you play Score Attack. If you can't see their scores, it's probably because they're playing the offline modes.
Yeah, the friends-only leaderboard leaderboard seems to be glitched. It just shows myself and one other player for me.. you can look at the friends leaderboard from the dashboard to see arcade mode scores but that's all.
Nah, it shows like 15 players on the dashboards friends leaderboard but ingame it only shows one friend who is online and the player seems to change randomly, pretty weird. Guess I'll redownload the game then, good to know it was just me
Someone else mentioned it earlier in the thread, but I haven't seen it happen. All my friends who bought it are appearing as they should be, even when they're offline. It might well be an issue, but you need to eliminate all other possibilities before calling it a bug. Eg - are you sure you're viewing the correct Leaderboard - make sure you've got ALL characters selected and the correct game mode. It might be possible that this game has a maximum of 999 entries on each Leaderboard, like Ketsui. In which case, if your friends didn't score high enough to get on the world Leaderboards, they'd still appear on your Friends Leaderboard in the dashboard.
I have about 10 friends there should be on that leaderboard, we all have the same problem, we discuss it on a forum called Playright.dk where they are from and yes I am 100% sure it is a bug, I have full control about that leaderboard
You should Tweet Cave on their English Twitter page then. They've been acknowledging bug reports sent to them, although wether or not they ever do anything about them is another thing...
