Interview with Cave
Re: Interview with Cave
The caption under the iPhone picture made me chuckle.
"Use a bomb when it comes to a pinch. It is wasteful to die before using bomb."
Re: Interview with Cave
Interesting read but not much about Cave's future plans really. Time will only tell.
And region locks on consoles (blame microsoft and other greedy manufacturers) and NTSC-J releases will not help Cave increase the sells really (many people wanna play but can't afford importing consoles bullshit) but this has been mentioned many times before

Re: Interview with Cave
That's good. Let's just hope any USA localizers of Cave games don't do their own "changing the game's design or anything", like what happened to DeathSmiles.Mr. Masaki wrote:"Up to now, we haven't done an original title on 360. When we do we'll definitely take the international market into account, but in terms of changing the game's design or anything... We're not going to change our style. That's Cave's style."
When the next gen of consoles come out, the damn region locks need to be abandoned. They just serve to drive those of us who want Japanese games away from the US system. Shame MS won't do a firmware update to cancel the region locks on 360.
Kinect? KIN NOT.

That was a good read. This and the DDP Resurrection review showing up on Eurogamer surprised me.
Haven't been following X360 ports, so what happened with that one?gameoverDude wrote:Let's just hope any USA localizers of Cave games don't do their own "changing the game's design or anything", like what happened to DeathSmiles.

That one was Cave's own doing.gameoverDude wrote:Let's just hope any USA localizers of Cave games don't do their own "changing the game's design or anything", like what happened to DeathSmiles.
Cave messed with slowdown, effectively making the game considerably harder than the original and rendering them incompatible both scoring-wise and survival-wise.Vincent Draconis wrote:Haven't been following X360 ports, so what happened with that one?
