How many of these controllers can you identify?

Edit, I credited Kotaku when really this article was on GameSetWatch which can be found here.

How many of these can you identify without looking at other peoples answers? 8)
Bonus points for knowing the second one (I love the system it goes to).

Letters are rows, numbers are columns. Top left corner is A1.

A5) Nintendo
A6) Master System
B4) Mega Drive
B5) SNES
C5) 6-button controller for Mega Drive
E1) PSX
E4) N64
E5) Newer PSX controller
F1) PS2
F2) Another version of the PS2 controller?
F4) Gamecube
G1) X360
G2) PS3
G3) Wii
G6) Move

Guess I only know the obvious ones. Also, C6 and D6 are bizarre.

Atari Jaguar, Sega Saturn (2nd gen) if I understand your coordinate system which is confusing.

I was looking for the Atari 2600 classic stick, then I figured out what region this was made in...

I'm know all but three, the one under the 7800 controller (I HATED the 7800 controller.), the one under the one you want people to guess that looks like it's daisy chained together, ( the one you are looking for was a self contained unit, folded out and separated by an old spiral cord, the games came in a box about the size of a comic book 'cause of overlay) and the one to the left of the N64 controller that looks like the ps3 prototype. I am such a nerd.. I actually think that the Intellivision controller was one of the best ever, because it had that weird analog wheel thingy and you could slide in the sheets from the games effectively making the controller button layout adapt to the games.
It's missing the controller for the 2600!

It is missing quite a few for the 2600, missing the stick, the driving controller, the programming controller, and the paddle controllers.

The first may be an Intellivision controller, how can you include Intellivision but not Atari?

You are right it doesn't have the paddle controllers. Don't really care about the steering wheels. Actually there's one more I don't know, B3 left of the Genesis, kinda funny how close it is to the more modern designs. Wow, I've played with most of these at some time.

It should be a special NES pad that had a sliding d pad and two turbo buttons. I don't care for those.

EDIT the NES Max by Nintendo.

Adding to Ruldra's list:

A3) Famicom
B2) TG16/PCE
B3) NES MAX
C3) CDTV (this one is hardly forgettable lolz)

D1) Amiga CD32
D2) 3DO
D3) PC-FX
D5) Saturn
D6) Saturn Analogue

Based on Ruldras map designation I can say for certain E5 is the Sony Dual Analog (SCPH-1180 series), so the earliest analogue hand-held controller for PlayStation BY SONY. The distinction can be made thanks to the elongated handles as otherwise the pictures are too indistinct on finite details and it's zoomed out.

You sure don't mess in details eh. I suppose I should've clarified with analogue stick control controller as I am quite aware of the analogue properties of the neGcon. Then again this topic and the image is entirely first party equipment so my intent and the intent of this article should've been crystal clear from the start. Oh well, never skip details is the order of the day.

Adopting the format in the first reply but not having seen the answers supplied:

A1) Colecovision
A3) Famicom
A5) NES
B4) Genesis
B5) SNES
C2) PC Gravis Gamepad
C4) NES (refresh)
C5) Genesis 6 button?
C6) Jaguar
D5) Saturn?
E1) PS1
E4) N64
E5) PS1 Dual Analog
E6) Dreamcast
F1) Dualshock
F2) Dualshock2
F3) Xbox
F4) Gamecube
F5) Xbox S-Controller
G1) Xbox 360
G2) Sixaxis/Dualshock3
G3) Wii Remote + Nunchuk
G4) Wii Classic Controller
G5) Wii Classic Controller Pro
G6) Move

How'd I do?

I only know what the Colecovision controller is because I have fond memories of seeing one at a cousin's house, complete with 20 year old battery acid oozing out of it.

Also, wow, how did I miss the Saturn Analog controller, when I OWN ONE?

How the hell are you supposed to use the E2 controller? You hold it with your fingers and press buttons with your thumbs? Plus there are two directional pads?

The controller itself looks like an enemy out of a top-down shooter.

Researching C2 a bit more, it could also be identified as the CD-i controller, though Wikipedia implies the Gravis PC Gamepad came first.

A1 is debatable. If the picture is meant to be absolutely correct then the cord is coming out the wrong end for the colecovision. It is coming out the right end for an Intellivision, but is being held upsidedown. *shrugs*

Yeah the second one in with the 4 buttons and curly cord is indeed the Vectrex. The controllers can go for more than the system. I'm lucky enough to have a working Vectrex and controller!

I used to think that modern controllers had a lot of buttons until I saw the "TV remove as a controller" look of the Intellivision and Colecovision.

I feel that the 6 button with dpad was the butter zone for controllers. I'm a Genesis/Saturn controller fan but I can see the SNES camp too.

I'm not a fan of Playstation/Gamecube analog sticks they always seem to go bad on me...

The Colecovision controller I saw at a cousin's was actually used as a make-believe phone (the buttons were even labeled as such) way back, rather than as part of the game console. If only they hadn't left the batteries in when it was put into storage...

a4. sega mark 3
a5. nes
a6. master system

b1. atari 7800
b2. pce & tg16
b3. nes slide dpad (XXX - nes max, couldn't remember the name)
b4. md/gen
b5. sfc/snes
b6. ??? - does anyone know what this is? njiska has it down as tg-16 but i don't think that's right

c1. cdi
c2. gravis gamepad/cdi
c3. XXX - cdtv
c4. nes top loader
c5. gen 6 button w/turbo
c6. jaguar

d1. XXX - amiga cd32
d2. 3d0

I just put that because it seemed right for the time period and it's also the only pad I could think of with a small round d-pad. It is missing the select and run buttons though, so who knows. I wish there was a real master list available.
