Re: DDP DOJ Emulation
I'll pick up a kit as soon as its emulated.
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

Re: DDP DOJ Emulation
From what I hear the PS2 version's emulation is almost perfect.
So we already have almost perfect emulation of an almost perfect port.
Unrelated: Is there any way to make the text in the editor not be blue? It's hard to read as it doesn't contrast well with the (blue) background.

For me I just take pleasure in knowing that hopefully these games will be available for ppl to enjoy in years from now when the 360 is dead and the only other way is to sell a kidney to be able to buy it off ebay.
Which version is he working on white or black?

Re: DDP DOJ Emulation
whilst i dont what this tread to be another ketsui thread with ppl arguing over the moral aspects, I will say that I think its a good move by the devs to stick with ver1.00. Hpefully it wont need much work to upgrade the emulation to BL in a couple of years when all the 360 JPN stock is sold and any chance of a localisation is past.

You misunderstood, he said that emulation of the PS2 port is almost perfect.

Re: DDP DOJ Emulation
True whilst some ppl might think DOJ on FBA or Mame is unneeded due to the PS2 emulation been so good, its still good that the arcade original will be preserved after all the DOJ PCBs have meltedThe PS2 version isn't an emulation, it's a port.

Yeah, people tend to forget what the actual intended purpose of MAME is: archival and preservation of the original games' code. As the associated legal junk says, gameplay is only a "nice side effect."
Even still, I look forward to playing these in five years or so

IQ_132 is part of the Final Burn Alpha project not MAMEdev.Yeah, people tend to forget what the actual intended purpose of MAME is
I think you mean documentation of the arcade boards. The game's code is "archived"/"preserved" as long as it is dumped and decipherable.archival and preservation of the original games' code
<RegalSin> It does not matter, which programming language you use, you will be up your neck in math.

Guru is going to be royally pissed... he seemed to be quite eager to release how to "convert boards into Black Labels" (sic)ケツイ wrote:

At any rate, I'm glad these are being dumped and emulated, the PGM driver would do with some nice improvements, and how about als overhauling the part on protection devices? The classification is still somewhat unclear.

I have a feeling even if this was released there would still be no way to convert a regular DOJ PCB to BL. It won't be released for a long time anyway.
Interesting to see it running though, I didn't realise you could select white label as an option on the PCB.
