Installing ls32 in hrap case

Post by BeruBeru »

I'm gonna order tomorrow LS32-01 (because of the universal 5pin cable).
Anyway, it's an EX case and the joystick comes with SS plate, and I don't know if I can put it in my case and if I will need to buy a flat plate.
Help would be appreciated

Best bet for a guide will be at http://shoryuken.com

... might need to specify which ex stick exactly - I presume something like this might help inform you (?):

Hori sticks generally don't use the universal 5-pin cable; the harness requires the PCB to be common ground, and most Hori PCBs aren't. You'd be better off ordering a PCB-less lever so you can directly connect the existing wires to your lever to the switches of the new one you're installing.

Of course, we need to know exactly what you have before we can even tell you if you can drop an LS-32 in without heavy modification.

I'm pretty sure most HRAPs are common ground, it's the HRAP EX that's the exception.

Anyways, I thought this topic looked familiar, must be the same guy from SRK

yep lol, actually I thought opening there first, but I thought this might be a better place to ask because of the obvious preference to seimitsu here.
