Is this a good choice? I have $225 to spend on a TV. Thanks in advance for your help.

What more can I say I wouldn't be here today if the old school didn't pave the way.

I bought yesterday a "Mivar 28 M 101 100Hz Stero 28" this product is absolutely incredible....and for only 169 euros.
I don't know if Mivar products are available outside EU but I suggest everyone to try it.
The best aspect of this TV is that is 100hz and that the screen position is completely configurable so you can move, adjust or zoom your screen as you like....it's perfect for Pal 50hz, Pal 60hz or NTSC 60hz and it has also the 100hz option....this is a european product, made in Italy and its quality is very high considering the low price

I myself use a "Toshiba 21VF6SH" for playing shmups in Teta. I bought it brand new and I have it stood 90 degrees rotated as soon as it first came out of the box. if you are to break it by puting it in Tate position, you better break it as soon as possible, so that you can have it exchange/refund from the seller.
Don't rotated your CRT TV/Monitor so offen, the screen can easily be mangetize in this way.
I also got a "Sony GS520" In Tate.
I never rotated them back to normal positon.

*Meow* I am as serious as a cat could possible be. *Meow*
Don't forget to wait 4 minutes with power cord disconnected before rotate your tv or you'll get distorted colors.
Particles in the tv tube need to be without electricity when tateing.

For those who have the cash and the space, I seriously recommend a TV you just keep in tate permanently. Best Buy seems to always have 20" tvs that go for $150, many of which make great permanent-tate screens.

Moved to hardware.

Well I ended up purchasing the TV today (I am extremely satisfied, the following pictures do not do enough justice, the image quality is amazing), here are a few pics of Dodonpachi and Battle Garegga running on the Saturn:

This is the TV I bought a few months ago. I guess it's the slightly older model of the same Panasonic. The sides are so flat this baby could easily endure an earthquake while TATEed.
