Hi guys need an advice. Could this be an original Progear or is it a bootleg?? The Cave Sticker is at the board cause under the Sticker the shell is damaged.
Could it be that there is a warning sticker at an original Progear???

Not true.

Possibly true. The cave sticker is definitely bogus. Official blue Capcom boards did not have these. It would be no more official than if you came across a Mars Matrix cart with a giant "TAKUMI" sticker on it.

While we're on the topic of bootleg Progears, I sold my original Progear and currently have a far less expensive "phoenixed" version that is in English. Is it possible to change the region of a US version bootleg to a Nihon no version? Mine has that smaller daughter-board on it that you see on most boots. The reason I ask is that I've gone through the sound check and the Japanese voices are on there, but obviously they don't play in the US version which kind of bugs me (along with the lame title screen).
Pretty sure you just hit the test button when the phoenix edition screen is up and it goes to a menu where you choose what region to boot.
I think the deciding factor on the legitimacy of the board would come down to price, if you can't get pics of the PCB's. Blue version US region Progear's are very rare, and thus very expensive. If this one isn't, assume its a conversion.

Ah cool, thanks!
I tried this last night despite the warning screen and it worked. However, my board started acting really funny and wasn't booting every time I turned the cabinet on. Today it has been working fine so I think the issue is that the board is finicky with regard to being seated just right on the harness or something. I thought I had killed it last night though and was sweating it for a second.
