No they don't. There's only one DDP Campaign PCB in the world, and Cave don't own it, nor do they have access to the source code anymore.PC Engine Fan X! wrote:Cave has a pair of special DDP & DDP-DFK PCBs that the public can't buy/upgrade outright -- definitely "aces" up their sleeves alrighty.

It does if you buy from videogameimports.com. They guarantee the DLC card with all their pre-orders.njiska wrote:The DLC card is included with all first print run editions. This means that all LEs will have the card and all SE pre-orders should. However as was observed with Mushi Futari buying an SE does not guarantee you anything.

Do you have a link or more information on this? From everything I've heard/read over the years there was at least one more (and take it with a grain of salt- but Wikipedia lists 1-3?)bcass wrote:No they don't. I think he was simply referring to a pair of games.. one being DDP Campaign and one being DFK 1.51.bcass wrote:No they don't. Regardless, sven just mentioned the other day that he attended that Cave festival and they had DDP Campaign on 2 machines. Apparently he played them both.

He probably was, but he said they were an ace up their sleeve. Hardly, given that they don't own the board nor have access to the source code anymore.brentsg wrote:I think he was simply referring to a pair of games.. one being DDP Campaign and one being DFK 1.51.bcass wrote:No they don't. Cave must be lying then, because they specifically mentioned in their recent public meeting that there was only 1 PCB in the world. Unless of course someone managed to duplicate the ROM.brentsg wrote:Regardless, sven just mentioned the other day that he attended that Cave festival and they had DDP Campaign on 2 machines. I'm aware of what Cave reportedly said. I don't think they're lying, just inept. Hopefully Yagawa snagged it for his collection.bcass wrote:Cave must be lying then, because they specifically mentioned in their recent public meeting that there was only 1 PCB in the world. It's pretty sad when I'll take the word of a Swedish biker over one of my favorite game devs.. but it is what it is.

Stop blaming other people for your ignorance. And thanks for finally giving EOJ credit as your source, which unfortunately is to a blog post and not a statement by Cave.bcass wrote: Cave must be lying then, because they specifically mentioned in their recent public meeting that there was only 1 PCB in the world. Here is proof that A) Cave has made several Campaign boards for Matsuri events,

and B) that neither of these were the "NAI Only Ver." loaner otherwise Cave would proudly display this along with it.

I still get a chuckle at the comment that Cave lost the source code to one of their games.

I always assumed special matsuri boards were made for the festival then overwritten for other purposes later. Just because they existed at one time doesn't mean they still do.
I find it odd that Cave would loose something like that, but it's not like it's never happened before. It was never intended for mass-release, so it was probably considered less valuable than something like the original DDP's code. Interesting that things like Guwenge Blue and MMP Pink survived if the infamous Campaign version didn't, though.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a campaign-ish arrange mode if DDP ever gets an XBLA port, but if what's being reported is even somewhat accurate the gist is that there won't be a release of the Campaign version itself for whatever reason.

I never said it was an official statement by Cave. We have no reason to believe that that isn't what they said at the meeting.Dave_K. wrote:And thanks for finally giving EOJ credit as your source, which unfortunately is to a blog post and not a statement by Cave.

I apologize if that was too harsh, just stop making excuses and admit you were wrong and PCEFX! was right, and lets move along.bcass wrote:Dave_K. wrote:As soon as you stop being a complete dick, I'll be right on it.bcass wrote: Stop blaming other people for your ignorance.

I was just relaying information that comes from Cave themselves (indirectly). If that information is wrong, that isn't my problem, nor is it my fault.
Re: Xbox 360: Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu 1.5 (November 2010)
Then don't get offended when people call you out for relaying bad information. Admit you were misinformed and move on.bcass wrote:I was just relaying information that comes from Cave themselves (indirectly). If that information is wrong, that isn't my problem, nor is it my fault.
Back on topic, I'm really interested in playing that LE 1.51 doj version of daifukkatsu. Rank gaining for hypers makes a lot of sense to me, as otherwise there really is no downside to using hyper in general. Sounds like a nice twist to an already solid game. I hope Amiami remembers to tape the DLC card to my game box.
Re: Xbox 360: Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu 1.5 (November 2010)
Wondered when you'd stick your oar in. I wasn't offended by anything. And nobody called me out for relaying bad information. They accused me of being ignorant. For all we know, there might well still actually only be 1 PCB left in the world. It's entirely possible that 2nd PCB doesn't exist anymore.
