If this is the new deal though and DFK has the same issue I think Cave is being lazy, how hard is it to code resolution? Especially resolution your team is probably very familiar with?
it's still fun and it's not like they messed up the game itself

I just see no point in rotating my screen now because I doubt I really get that much more real estate over hori mode.

lolwut? A letterboxed Yoko must surely mean much smaller game per screen inch than a letterboxed TATE?

not matter much but still funny that they manage to miss that.
Awesome, maybe I can actually get a high rank in the leaderboards this way!

I have no idea

that was a blank statement, unverified and full of resentment over a stupid folly like this.

I mean seriously, you'd think by now they'd know what their fans expect from their ports and whatnot.

emphatic sounds like a gay trance DJ name.

Although this tate/widescreen fiasco doesn't apply to me (only thing I've got is a non-tateable 720p LCD), I do have one burning question that will make or break my purchase of this.

Can you turn off the horribly distracting wallpaper graphics, or at least black them out by turning the transparency up? Why can't every vert shmup port just have wallpapers off by default, like Under Defeat?

Deathsmiles, Mushi Futari 1.5, and Espgaluda II BL for the 360 all do the same thing ::shrug::

You can turn the brightness down all the way to zero, making it completely invisible. :)

In the trial version several options in the screen settings menu are grey and can't be selected (sorry for the large image):

(Mod edit: Whoa that's a huge image, changed it to a link instead -Ghegs)

Are these options available in the full version?
If so it will be possible to resize the x and y axis individually, right?

they are disabled for the main window and ENABLED for all the extra windows. But you're right of course, they should simply enable them for the main window as well by patching the current version.

I never said the game play itself was garbage, I'd rather just stick with what I have until a fix is made.

Now it sounds more like Cave rushed an unfinished product out into the marketplace in hopes no one would notice/care since its just Guwange.

I never understood how to adjust them even though i pressed X to activate them. Perhaps you can't change those values unless you use one of the predefined multi-window modes (you cycle these by going to the right).

Well, it could be also the new dashboard. Because it's buggy as hell just like the new xbox.com site.

Given it's been on PartnerNet for around half a year, I think they would have fixed all this if they had actually tested it themselves.

The option is there, you just have to go to the settings menu and dig around.

Who's going to be first to suggest a patch to fix the two issues on their English Twitter page then?

This is such bullshit. I've got a tated 20" LCD monitor (4:3) in my bartop which is the perfect size for bullet hell games, but now I've got to stare at this tiny window just because those idiots were too lazy or whatever to include a 4:3 option.

Game is still fun...

Well, lucky me. I have a mediocre widescreen tv, and have no problems what so ever - tate or not.
I really enjoy playing Guwange on the 360, but I do agree that it is not without its faults. The letterboxing is obviously a big issue for many, but besides that, my issues are
- It would be really nice to see an updated leaderboard rank on the game over screen.
- Display options are TOO customizable :? I mean, why would I want to rotate the display 37 degrees? Why not just do 90 degree steps?

Probably a few ofther niggles, but it's nothing that prevents me from having a blast.
The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel.

Imagine the joy of finding out you can do this while no option for 4:3... imagine how I felt an hour ago... it was a bleak and very bitter moment in my life, let me tell you...

they have written Tuneki Ikeda instead of TSuneki Ikeda, was that also in the original PCB?

Cool. I could just about forgive the problem in DS2X because it's a hori, but borders top/bottom in a vert are completely unforgivable.

Wait a minute...

I'm using a 16:9 monitor, no tate. I don't zoom the screen either. That's how I play Mushihime, ESPGALUA II and Ketsui on 360. So, I don't see any problems in this video:
bloodflowers wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RySQ6wAPY7k

I made a small video showing my pathetic attempt at level 1.
So... is there anything wrong with the gameplay to stop me from buying this game? I mean, like, terrible slowdown difference from the arcade version or something?

(I haven't had a chance to download the demo yet)

Yeah, your not playing tate, that is where the problem lies

I guess they were too busy making sure DFK 1.5 was in perfect working order before sending the master disc to MS for pressing copies :)
