Sweet shmups clothes

I see too much shit I want. I can't decide between the MK. II Pilot hoodie, or the DDP hoodie (my score is nothing to be proud of so I'd probably just leave the text blank).

I'm pretty sure one of our (former?) members runs that, or at least used to...I know I've seen this someplace else on here.

I was on arcadeshop.de and there was a link for it. I found it by accident.

I've used this site before. Some very cool stuff. My favourite section is this selection of arcade boot screens: http://lowrez.spreadshirt.de/en/Booting

That DDP highscore looks really good, Promethious could do with one and have his score printed underneath
Is this site from that guy who was selling Cave logo T-shirts on this forum? I thought he is english and that sites german

No, the CAVE logo shirts were printed by Lordstar who is indeed a Brit. The site this thread is discussing is German.TrevHead (TVR) wrote:Is this site from that guy who was selling Cave logo T-shirts on this forum? I thought he is english and that sites german

Someone in the US needs to start making nice shmup shirts. I can't afford to buy games from Japan, and t shirts from Germany and England.

Re: Sweet shmups clothes
Came. I'm definitely wearing these to the next meet. And, as a plus, it means that I can introduce more of my school pals to DDP.
Re: Sweet shmups clothes
I would rather wear an actual pilot suit everyday than wear some piece of clothing that brands me "Game X's Official Advertbot and Bitch." It's kind of like poets and lonely souls co-opting the classic worker's flat cap, except without any conceivable boost to your employability score whatsoever. See, with the flat cap, at least you'll make it into the anteroom and they'll offer you a free coffee. With the youthful and glaringly branded tee (which logo graphic is likely to flake and crumble long before your brand loyalty does, or before you can scrounge up enough to buy a replacement), it's back into the suitcase and being thrown off a neon skyscraper by the Shat's commercial accomplice. Ouch. Don't look down.
A benefit of wearing the pilot suit is that you get a head's up display at all times. Did you know the newest ones translate Bacterion for you? That's another strong point for the ol' CV if you ask me. Also, the ability to be subjected to crushing gravitational (or centrifugal, or centripetal) forces is a clear bonus. With the logo'd tee, your best bet is to go with black to hide sweat stains. Don't forget the deodorant.

Re: Sweet shmups clothes
I agree that most aren't that great, BUT I really do like the DDP black hoodie A LOT. And I think the MK. II Pilot T-shirt is cool.

Thanks for the fashion tips. But your point is moot, since DDP makes you its bitch just by playing it - a logo tee isn't going to make things any worse.
Re: Sweet shmups clothes
Yeah - somebody who used to post here a lot (maybe still does and just changed their avatar?) had the 'Candy Cab' design as their avatar. Who was that? I'm being an idiot because it wasn't that long ago.BulletMagnet wrote:I'm pretty sure one of our (former?) members runs that, or at least used to...I know I've seen this someplace else on here.
And yes - some of these are really tasty!
Re: Sweet shmups clothes
Y'know, I actually do think that logo tees are fine, though I keep mine folded up as "collectibles."RNGmaster wrote:Wow, you're like Robotron but you're more of an asshole.Ed Oscuro wrote:I would rather wear an actual pilot suit everyday than wear some piece of clothing that brands me "Game X's Official Advertbot and Bitch." I would wear that great Tomb Raider one but it doesn't give me amazing pectorals like Lara Croft, so what's the point?
I guess you've got something there about DDP. But see, fighting for freedom from strict chaining games is why Mel Gibson isn't here with us today. Speaking of which, I don't think anybody can replace Robotron. I just paddle my own canoe, man.

Re: Sweet shmups clothes
Anyone else notice the bee on those DDP shirts is actually the bee from Donpachi?
Re: Sweet shmups clothes
I'd much rather have the original logos on all those hoodies than the word "shmup" awkwardly photoshopped over them.
Who was that guy here a couple years ago who made the Cave/Raizing shirts?

Re: Sweet shmups clothes
yeah, I agree that the original logos would be much better. Batrider would be awesome.
The thing I like about the Donpachi hoodie is the minimalist thing. All black with just the bee.

Not a huge fan of the shmup shirts, but the boot-screen ones are nifty.

Where is this Tomb Raider shirt? I can't seem to find it. Or is this a joke I don't get. Or did I just make a fool.

Cave has made cell phone apps related to stuff like that, though. They also did the Shin Megami Tensei MMO and a few snow/skateboarding games. And shmups are just one part of their arcade development section, which also encompasses pachislot machines and the like.

I had always thought Cave was into other things apart from Video games and arcade machines

Re: Sweet shmups clothes
I think you are pretty much right. According to the bastion of misinformation that is Wikipedia, in June 2008 Cave merged with 'accessory' company Beads Mania. I misunderstood SquidMan's post, but he's right I think. Beads.TrevHead (TVR) wrote:I had always thought Cave was into other things apart from Video games and arcade machines

Re: Sweet shmups clothes
I'd pay for these shirts if I didn't have to import them because anything is better than the crappy Hot Topic ones we have here.
What I want is a shirt with the Famicom "pulse line" on it like some of the carts have printed on the label.
