307 / 100% cleared. 8)

And I just go right back to the game for more. Alien Hominid is actually a cool character to use - pretty lame that the laser can't kill enemies but it provides a very nice jump boost. Gish even got one stage in chapter 1.

Nice work Rob, what is your gamertag?

I'm at about 250 completed. Just finished The Kid's stages. God damn those were some tough stages but so satisfying to see that achievement pop.

Yeah. I turned on notifications just for that (was also my last stage). The third was actually really fun.

Fuck...I thought I was the only person on the damned planet that leaves notifications turned off!

Does anyone know if the warp zones count towards the overall time? Cut about 100 seconds on chapter 1, but haven't touched the warps. Got the #1 non-glitched (0.00) time on 1-11 in the process. Very simple and short stage, but 8) anyways.

Played this the other day. Was quite enjoying it until my firend gave me a lecture on how it was the ultimate culmination of retro sensibilities and pattern memorisation. Then I hated it. My girlfriend is amazing at these kinds of games though (she's an N+ god), and she hammered through the whole thing despite being pissed. Might have to get it for WiiWare or something. Can't really imagine playing it by myself (unlike, say, Umihara Kawase), but like Mario, it's cracking stuff for a pass-the-controller party game.

Huh? How does that make it bad? *scratches head* Odd. Especially about pattern memorization....on a shmups board :?

Cleared my last two levels today. Clearing all the levels seemed easier than N+, though I've probably just got better at such games. Pretty much every level had a trick to it and they were short enough to memorize, like 7-15x with just running back and forth etc. 7-2x probably pissed me off the most, my thumb just couldn't handle it and that was probably the whole point of that level.

Outta curiosity, are there any levels where something instantly kills you if you stand around for more than a half-second after it starts? In N those sorts of stages ticked me off to no end...

One or two, but N is way more hardcore with the missiles and stuff and there arent many levels with "enemies" that follow you around. There are a few levels with a moving wall behind you as the game doesnt have forced scrolling.

The Xbla Title Update is being submitted to MS for approval this week and should be up by the 21st (we hope). This update will fix all known bugs, erase all 0.0 times from the leaderboards and come with a totally new music track by Danny called Dr. Fetus's Castle.

But the biggest addition to the update will be the 1st new set of 20 internets levels.

This new chapter for the internets called "the Sewers of Dross" will be our first character exclusive chapter. In the sewers of dross you will be using only Gish and his sticky abilities to traverse 20 levels that ramp in difficulty from medium to soul crushing.

All additional content will be 100% free.
The Sewers of Dross is one of 3 chapters that will be released this year via the internets, but more on that when the update goes live.
info taken from team meat blog found here:

btw:
i'm also done with the game. (307 / 103% cleared)

Sounds pretty nice. The first world in Gish was also called the Sewers of Dross btw. I don't like how you need to manage the run button so much with gish (don't want to accidentally stick to walls) but the levels probably wont have many tight spaces since they're designed to be played with him.
