Just picked up a used Last Resort Neo Geo CD game. Pretty cool. Intense anime style graphics. Fun but hard as nails as an R-Type. Good music too, cd soundtrack. Recommended.

I've been meaning to pick this up on my AES, but the price is a little to high for me right now. So, how are the load times on the CD version?

I have the homecart and was quite dissappointed to hear that the CD version has the better music (well, stage 3 anyway). Lovely tunes.

Stunning game though, I love it's gritty visuals and atmosphere.

Fantastic game.

Get a friend and play in 2-player mode to reduce frustration. (In 2p mode, you continue where you died, unless you both die at the same time.)

One thing I've noticed is that level 1 looks and sounds a lot like level 1 of R-Type Delta. Squashing the little cars, for example. :) Somehow the music, even. Anyone else think so?

I finally picked it up for my MVS and i gotta say its addictively hard, old school hard, that is. I haven't played a shooter this addictive in a while.
